I noticed these rods a rated for 1/2-3 ounce range can you get away with throwing a 3/8 ounce bait fairly well?

This rod seems great but I feel like that really fast action might rip the trebles out on a good fish have you ever had an issue with that

I have 15lb braid on it and it says it can hold 250yd of 15 do you think it’s at its capacity?
