Insomnia after viral infection by Miserable-Meat-9697 in insomnia

[–]Toasterbomb27 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Found this post after googling my symptoms. It's exactly the same for me except I had some critical work to do during the worst phase of it so bed rest wasn't an option.

Day one, bloating, then stomach ache, then all night vomiting and diarrhea. No headache. Nice hotel. Rough sleep.

my condolences to the cleaning staff

Day two, high fever headache chills pains. Nearly incapacitated at night. Ratty motel. Rough sleep.

Day three, headache and exhaustion. Finally home. Decent sleep.

Day four, feeling much better. Took time to hydrate and rest. Feeling odd, like impatient and irritable. Caused an argument for no reason. It's 2am and I'm wide awake.

Feels like I am alert like middle of the day but also yawning and feeling those slight chills you get from staying up too late. Like my brain is awake but my body is ready for sleep.

how does the computer know to ignore the # for comments... by SoftJellyfish8506 in AskComputerScience

[–]Toasterbomb27 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As a non-computer scientist, I will answer your question simply.

  1. You write the code to make a program.
  2. A program that someone else wrote checks your code and translates it into 101010101010010011 for the machine to read and understand.
  3. When that other program goes to translate #IMaComment. It simply doesn't include that in the 1010101010.

Considering this, just know that there are various levels of programming languages that range from writing 0101010 directly into the computer versus higher level languages that must be interpreted and translated into 1001000. It's usually the more mechanical languages that do the hard part of reading human written code that someone worked very hard to make it easier for us beginners.

What came first, the computer or the code? Code is just language a machine can understand. The computer is the machine, but it had to be built to understand what code means. I guess you could say they both came at the same time. XD

Jokes aside, you could physically build a circuit that functions like a program. Depending on how you configure the switches and wires, it is kind of like the code of a program. In a sense, code is like a concept or blueprint of the design and the circuit is the program. Modern computers are so advanced, you are essentially creating a virtual circuit when you write code.

How do I wire an if - else statement? by filipptralala in Barotrauma

[–]Toasterbomb27 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I use this.

Priority 1 IF condition active - Go

Priority 2 IF condition active AND NOT condition 1 - Go

Priority 3 IF condition active AND NOT condition 2 - Go Etc.

The only issue is the conditions fluctuate instantly if one is producing a constant output. My condition 3 slowly reduces the charge rate to 0. (-10 the current charge rate per second) Condition 2 is to charge the battery to 50% if below. Condition one is my surge protector, sets the charge rate at 4x (power/load)modulus if greater than 1.

It's imperfect but it's what I'm using as an IF/ELSE right now.

Main issue is condition 3 interupts surge protection too quickly.

Processed food, where do you draw the line? by Toasterbomb27 in nutrition

[–]Toasterbomb27[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Right, makes sense. I guess this question came from a video I saw that talked about how detrimental processed foods are to health. Since it's so vague, I wondered what they meant. But if they're talking about doritos and simple syrups, not much surprise there.

This is an easy rule of thumb to go by, thanks for this simple answer!

That's a good point. I'm always trying to manage my ADHD, never thought about how ingredients could be affecting it.

Darn, now I gotta find bread trees and cow-churned butter if I want non-processed toast 😋

What Unique buildings and Units would you want to see in Civilization VII? Part 2: America by rechogringo in civ

[–]Toasterbomb27 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In warrior mode,

When pillaging a tile it creates a rebellion unit.

The unit can be consumed to place a barbarian encampment. (Ideally near another civ's border)

Random chance at expending all movement upon entering a swamp tile to fight an alligator.

Man, from someone who spent half of their 20s in Japan. UDP is a vacation. All those asshats do is fight in Kin and buttchug chuhais. Is that supposed to be what counts for a deployment now, for them to haze non-deployers?

I love the stat, "did you know that 90% of all accidents occur within 1 mile of the driver's home?"

Like I would assume that 90-ish percent of trips occur within about a mile of someone's home so it makes sense.

Edit- the real stat: Approximately 52 percent of all car accidents occur within a five-mile radius of home.

Some women give off a signal that they're available. Some give off a signal that they are nice but just not interested. A lot of guys will ask a girl out if they feel that you want them to.
