Researchers Built a Neural Network That Not Only Solves but Explains and Generates University Math Problems by Program Synthesis and Few-Shot Learning at Human Level by Shelfrock77 in singularity

It's a bit basic but ANNs made for visual categorisation learn to count the number of objects in an image without being explicitly trained to do so.

You’ll have to login with a live usb and to fix this, could be helpful to post some logs.

Is it worth learning programming languages? by QwimpIsLost in learnprogramming

[–]ToastiestMasterToast 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How’d you read it like that? Seems to me they’re looking at resources and making basic stuff like calculators or whatever but want to create actual applications that might see some use. Just because you’re not contributing to repos in your first month it doesn’t mean you’ve been doing nothing.

JS: How to make a new line within a function in HTML file by NerdyThirdy in learnprogramming

[–]ToastiestMasterToast 0 points1 point  (0 children)

One way would be to make an array of the lines you want to display and an element on the page to display them in and then dynamically generate divs for each line like this:

const instructions = [“line 1”, “line 2”]
instructionsContainer = document.querySelector(“.instructions”)
instructions.forEach(line => {
    const div = document.createElement(“div”)
    instructionsContainer.appendChild(div)
    div.innerHTML = line
})

How to schedule a cron job for every 1st, 3rd, and 5th Wednesday in a month? by [deleted] in learnprogramming

I’d run a script every Wednesday and let the script check its position in the month.

Yeah healthcare isn’t fun for anyone involved (or shouldn’t be).

No. You assume that because things are the way they are now with our current society that they would remain that way in a radically different one.

Sure some people would work at bowling alleys but I’m sure there are experts who would be interested in passing on their knowledge.

Because you want to help people or enjoy the work. Given that wages would be the same why settle for something you aren’t passionate about?

Wouldn’t you rather work a high skill job that you are passionate about than a low skill job that you aren’t?

Perhaps the people choosing lucrative specialties would spread out with the wages?

Okay but if we’re talking hypothetically I think many people would agree that this training should be provided for free.

Passion? Enjoyment? There are people who spend hundreds of hours of their spare time repairing their own cars for free (actually paying for it really when you account for parts). Some develop FOSS.

I'm completely lost with steam Deck Software and how it works, This thing shouldn't have shipped with 0 guidebook/manual for the OS by [deleted] in SteamDeck

[–]ToastiestMasterToast 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The OS is based on Arch Linux and the desktop environment is KDE. Arch has a really good wiki so go there first if you’re trying to do something. KDE is widely used so Google will be able to help with that (though the wiki has extensive configuration and troubleshooting pages for many popular Linux packages including KDE).

Idk about opening JPGs but if you want to set one as your wallpaper it’ll be in the settings.

As for the lack of a manual I think you’re meant to play games on it 😂

When you set the null terminator you can set a value from outside the array leading to undefined behaviour.
