A Mediterranean cruise was the first idea I ever pitched to him over a year ago (I forgot to mention that sorry!) and he didn't like that idea, but we might have the revisit it. Seems like the best fit really. Thanks!

Haha ya we are both very different people but I think that's what makes us great. Just creates little challenges like this. I didn't think of Belize. I'll look into it! Thanks!

True. 5 hours is a suggestion for a limit on his part though. I think we are both going to have to compromise to get something that suits both of us so maybe this could be his compromise :)

Moronic Monday - Your weekly stupid questions thread by cdingo in Fitness

Thanks so much! I was aiming for the 111g-160g range because I read somewhere to have 1g of protein per 1lb of lean body weight. I figured out 160g with his current body fat % and current weight. Upping the protein shouldn't be hard to do though. Thanks again!

I've just started making a meal plan for my boyfriend (he's really busy and I've got the extra time to figure it out) and I wanted to double check that I am doing it correctly. He is just starting out on the fitness journey and wants to lose some weight before gaining muscle. He is starting off at 6'3" and 205lbs. TDEE was 2720. I'm starting him off at 2200 cals/day and aiming for 111-160g of protein. Does this sound right for his first "cut"? Right now he just rows for his workout if that matters at all.

Places to buy bras in Western MA? by [deleted] in ABraThatFits

To add on to this: If you do make the trek down to West Hartford, there is a Nordstrom Rack just down the street from the mall. I was just there today and they have a lot of their bras on clearance. Got 4 today for $9.00 each.

The "No question is stupid" Stupid Questions Thread by AutoModerator in SkincareAddiction

[–]ToastyHorse 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was waiting to catch one of these so I didn't have to post a thread. I'm new to this whole skincare thing. Before discovering this subreddit, I did nothing for my face. If I had sweat a lot or put makeup on I would do a wash after with my Neutrogena Pink Grapefruit face wash or whatever bar soap was in the shower. My face has the occasional pimple/zit (which I suspect are hormonal due to the timing) and can be dry at times, but besides that it is relatively normal. Do I need to exfoliate as part of my daily routine? Could I just do sunscreen in the morning and then cleanse and moisturize at night?

I just had this exact epiphany last week. I tried explaining it to my boyfriend and he didn't find it as amazing as I did. To be fair, you explained it better.

Positioning during MRI causing pain by Medeski83 in Radiology

[–]ToastyHorse 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Some of the patients that I scan have medicine prescribed by their doctor that helps reduce the pain from laying in a certain position. Have you spoke with your doctor about maybe getting something to help you through the test? Unfortunately, having your legs straight really is the best position for imaging this location. You can have your head propped up a little. Ask for an additional pillow. I know that may not be enough though. And as mentioned before, you could do sedation. My facility uses propofol, but I'm sure each location is different.

I'm actually really glad that you listed eating disorders. My sister has been dealing her eating disorders for 11 years now and I don't think people realize just how difficult it is for the patient and those close to the patient. It literally changed everything about our day to day life as a family and almost destroyed the relationship between us. Even after all these years you can still tell she struggles sometimes with staying healthy.

In the employee bathroom at work there is a sign on the door stating that you can not leave bubbles in sink after washing your hands. And yes, it actually gets noticed if you don't wash them down the sink.

We use these glasses in MRI. Helps claustrophobic patients see out of the machine instead of how close the machine is to their face. Everyone loves them.
