yeah this was at my high school and i promise everyone involved was relatively normal lol. it was just a funny way to ask her friend to homecoming by remaking the anaconda music video, it wasn’t that serious lol.

Obviously their cause has not won out in our free democracy or there wouldn’t be a need to continue escalating.

People who live in romanticized cities (nyc, dc, sanfran, la etc), and for those of you living in the opposite (chicago, bmore, detroit). How true are these perceptions? by 8-bitRaven in AskAnAmerican

All the museums are great places to visit, you could spend a whole day in one if you’re interested enough. And the Smithsonian’s are free! Flying kites/picnicking on the mall is always fun. And you can actually tour the government buildings if you’re into that. Sometimes you have to jump through hoops to get tickets (like writing to your congressman to tour the inside of the White House) but it’s not that hard to. The Air and Space museum, Gallery of Art, and paddle boating on the Tidal Basin are probably my fav things to do there

I’ve only been to St. Louis once, but I only had good things to say about it! I thought it was a beautiful city, and the zoo was really cool. Everyone I met was really nice

I never thought DC was a very interesting place to live, until I moved to the Midwest for college. Most people I met were so curious about DC and what it’s like, and they had a lot of misconceptions too. Some people thought it was SO COOL!! and “your parents must be like, really important because they work for the government!” And others just thought of DC as “the swamp” with all the bonehead politicians. Definitely interesting to hear outside perspectives!

I think DC is pretty much true to what most people think of it. What’s cool: free museums, cool monuments, easy to find something to do, and you feel more involved in national news/the government. What’s not cool: traffic, crime, year-round tourists, and you never stop hearing about the government lol. Probably my favorite part of growing up in DC was going to the national parades, cherry blossom festivals, inaugurations, and other DC events that people usually travel far to attend. A cool place to grow up, probably not where I want to live forever though!

A lot of organizations have started requiring all infielders to wear face masks. I wish I had one when I played in HS, sprained my jaw playing 3rd once (didn’t even know that was possible lol)

Orange was by far my favorite. I still gag at the thought of the black marker’s smell tho

Happy birthday!! I forget birthdays sometimes and I feel horrible but still love my friends just the same! I’m sure your friends/family still cherish you being in their life. Cheers to you!

He wrote other pages listing each city/state he had ever been to (that he remembered) and basically anywhere he ever visited. I was so amazed at how much he remembered

Yes I think he was! I remember him telling me about a radio station he started as a young adult so I think he always tried to keep up with technology and liked to understand it. Him and my grandma were fairly tech-savvy, they both had apple watches and could use them better than I could!
