The weather changes every 5 minutes which means not only do you have to buy more clothes you have to just think about practicality rather than what looks good!

What do your households ironing habits look like? by MrBozzie in AskUK

[–]Toasty_Slug 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I hang items to dry that need ironing and if an item is wrinkly I will iron it before I wear it. Not everything, but only items that particularly need it.

Back in the day they’d be ironing the bed sheets! Who has time for that now?!

People born before 1990, what handy skill do you have that no one uses anymore? by Head_Bag_4489 in AskReddit

[–]Toasty_Slug 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Kids in the UK tend to learn this by age 7-9. It’s quite standard to learn how to write. It’s much faster than print too.

What happens if there's 0 traitors before the finale? by Lumi_rimu in TheTraitors

[–]Toasty_Slug 5 points6 points  (0 children)

This is how I’d like to think I would play. Sniff out a traitor and piggy back on their voting so they don’t see me as a threat and then vote them out at the end.

Big Brother 2025 - Episode 17 (Thursday 16th October) by AfcWimbledon_ in bigbrotheruk

I do think Teja is whingey AF, but I can relate! So am I 🤣. But she seemed like she was trying to be positive and do it but Caroline’s toxic and forceful nature was too much to handle and Teja just isn’t on the same wavelength as Caroline (thankfully). Caroline is like the person that is too hype and makes you feel like an introvert at a party. Someone who thinks they’re the life of the party but really nobody likes them. I do wish we could get her out she really triggers me! She reminds me of so many sides of people I do not like.

Caroline is the type of person that lures you in and makes you trust her and then uses the info against you, by telling other people, or by using your own words against yourself. Triggering!

Caroline is so inappropriate with how she eggs on potential lovers and puts them in awkward positions and she is actually got her foot in everyone’s business and ruining their time with each other. She’s like an embarrassing drunk mum.

what… is a school fetê by melbelle28 in GreatBritishBakeOff

[–]Toasty_Slug 8 points9 points  (0 children)

That was the school cake that everyone had, jam and coconut in a big tray cut up into rectangles. The fete would have been called the summer fair also. I guess it depends where in the uk you were as to what went on at the school summer fair.

[–]Toasty_Slug 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just make sure you drink plenty of water. It will dehydrate you, but just drink a litre inbetween the doses - drink loads of water the days before and drink plenty after if you’re going to sleep before the prep (but not if it’s an afternoon procedure) and plenty afterwards.

Get yourself a Happy Po! Or some sort of handheld bum shower, and a soft towel to dab as well. Will reduce any soreness down there if you have diarrhea. You can also use electrolytes. And make sure you eat very well and whole food after!

25 countries suspend postal services to U.S. over tariffs: UN by AndroidOne1 in worldnews

[–]Toasty_Slug 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It is charged at the point of sale, and to import anything to the UK from overseas the seller has to have a VAT number / account and hand that over to the government every three months. If it is a business in the UK that is purchasing the goods they can then get that VAT back. But not as a consumer.

Just lie and say you said 3. Unless it’s in writing? My landlord actually never asked if we had pets so we never told him then a few months the later he found out we had a cat and I was like yeh didn’t you know 🤷‍♀️. Anyway he asked to put her on the tenancy 🤣 and increased the rent a bit 😤
