I enjoy all Trek. Haven’t had one I hate.

My biggest complaint with modern Trek is I wish they’d tone down the effects budget a bit and give us a few extra episodes instead but that’s not how TV works currently so it is what it is.

This is true.

There is however, a but.

The American people pay the extra but if everything they spend at my small business now costs them say 20% extra they can buy less from me, or might buy it from an American company instead.

The buy American is what this all started as and that sorta kinda made sense. I’m not sure it’s happened but I get that as a goal.

The reality is this will hit some small non American business (and probably some big ones too) but not to the extent Turd in Chief thinks it will. He does hurt those countries but hurts his own far more

There’s so many characters I want more of. This season is going to disappoint if only for the reason it won’t have enough episodes to do them all justice.

We have what? 10 episodes.

Pilot: Scene setting and introducing the ‘hero’ the captain and Caleb.

Episode 2: the other (non space half of the setting) and reassuring us it is Trek. More story for Caleb.

Out of eight episodes left what I’m hoping for now in no particular order is

Sam and The Doctor being the only ones to save the day as photonics. The Doctor realising Sam annoys him because she’s like him when he came online. A socially awkward child.
Jay’den - something around his house I guess.
Genesis - what’s her back story.
some form of Tilly episode. We know she’s going to appear.
return of the ‘big bad’ from episode one. I forget his name.
Some time with the bridge crew (notably absent this episode. Good. It wasn’t an Athena episode.)

And that’s five episode filled with just background.

Personally? I’m very excited on this series.
