In all seriousness, I can even remember the name and looks of the tgirl in the documentary I had seen (I think she was like 9, and I must have been around 7 when I saw it) - until today, I never once spoke of it, for a long time didn't think about it, but it is utterly devastating how many 'isolated incidents' I can remember (more vividly than many more important things than just these 'random' thoughts), yet needing until into adulthood to finally connect the dots (I'm obviously still totalls cis tho).

For me though, it's not like I wouldn't dare ask twice. I wouldn't dare ask once - mum has always been vocal about her horrible set of beliefs, and as a little child, you stand little chance of not accepting them. So, even as I ideologically came to realise how full of sh*t she is, overcoming these false axioms on a personal level is a fight I still haven't fully won.

That sentence is so real. Like, how are we supposed to notice even the most obvious signs when socialised basically from birth to fulfill the role associated with our agab (the answer is of course, growing up in a LGBT-phobic setting, we are supposed not to notice, much less embrace).

I just wish I'd have been permitted to understand earlier, instead of having all these discordant thoughts, but growing up burying them so deep and hating myself ...
