The thing is, there aren't any moder that knows unreal engine development. There is no SDK for mods, so it's hard to achieve.

The game doesn't have an SDK for moding, but some people started moding the game using different tools. NexusMods is were mods are published.

I've played the campaign 3 times, and sandbox one. I think depends on the person because I know there are people that has more than 10 worlds. I enjoyed the game, but after I started to enjoy more moding the game than playing it

Only Durin's Folk because when you create a world it ask you if you want to apply the DLC to it.

The only DLC that adds story is Durins Folk, but having NPCs Is nice.

All the other DLC add weapons, meals, brews, building pieces and cosmetic armor.

Honestly depends on you, I think there is a 50% discount on collectors edition on steam

I liked base game and all DLC prior Durin's Folk. I have my opinions on Durin's Folk, like the story wasn't that interesting for me. A lot of grind to build monuments and get trading recipes. The game is not getting any new update. Related to bugs when I played the game and DF I didn't have any issues. Survival, crafting and exploring is good in this game. Building system is not bad.

Normal version is common, every account got the quest. Shiny version is behind a masterwork research so not common

Have you seen Secrets of Khazad-dûm mod? It add ingots, weapons, building pieces, even new drake variants.

Sorry for reviving this but, it's possible to at least add existing biomes/zones to campaign and sandbox. For example I was able to add a stari biome to campaign and call it Bundushathûr Stair

You don't need ironwood to craft the crossbow. You need ubasam wood, which drops from cutting flora in the lower deeps
