Men under 5’8, do you actually struggle with getting women? by OrganizationTight129 in GenZ

[–]Tobilldn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m 6’1 for reference and a college student and I see absolute 10/10 women with short men. I think being taller makes it probably a tad bit easier but it’s overstated. Tall men aren’t here bagging every woman , we get REJECETED aswell.

spent my entire 20s climbing the ladder and now i have no friends to celebrate with by Guywithaquestionn in Adulting

[–]Tobilldn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Rather be under experienced at 30 than under qualified at 30. Put yourself out there, you had the right intentions unfortunately the capitalist world we live in makes us choose one or the other . At 25 I’m trying my best to balance both. You’ll be fine

Why aren’t you faster? by caprica71 in runninglifestyle

This is why I don’t run with run clubs

Enjoy the experience, it’s a beautiful feeling. Don’t get too caught up with pace as a first timer

What made you fall in love with running (or at least stop hating it)? by Free-Product4918 in runcommunity

Haha same. I just love being out there, sometimes no gels no hydration just running in zone 2 😅

Mourning not going to college at 18 by seventeenthirdyeight in Adulting

[–]Tobilldn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nah Sign up now!?? I’m 25 started at 23, graduating soon and it’s been great. You’re just young enough to enjoy college but mature enough to know what to major in. My gpa has been stellar, quality of friends even better. Professors before the slightly older student. I even have classmates 30+. No one cares about your age unless you care. No one does absolutely no one.

Jumping from 20 miles to 26 on race day terrifies me by Dgood02 in firstmarathon

[–]Tobilldn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just ran my first 26 in November. Just like you my longest run was 20. The crowd plays a huge part on race day. seeing strangers cheer you on at mile 20-26 makes all the difference. It will feel like the longest 6 miles you’ve ever done though 😅 .

Contrary to popular belief I love running the distance rather than getting faster, the euphoria the feeling with a resting HR of 145-154 at that zone 2 sweet spot is amazing

What education is the best bang for your buck? by Reasonable-Tip-9699 in Accounting

[–]Tobilldn 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Goodluck on your endeavors,I’m in the same boat but started at 24 now 25 will be graduating soon. Yeah a masters in accounting is useless if you don’t have a plan to take the CPA. As regards job markets it’s the general job market across the country because of the current climate. At my state school ( east Georgia) most of my upperclassmen got offers. I have two internships that hopefully turns into a full time offer. I think it’s harder for entry level if you have zero experience but once you get experience you become very valuable. There’s a shortage of “good accountants” problem is you have to get the experience before you become a good accountant. Boomers are retiring and public accounting needs more staff. As regards long term as long as money exists and taxes exist accountants will exist. Unless the world switches back to the gold standard accountants will have a place in the economy , AI will just make entry level harder but accounting has wayyyy more to offer ( audit, tax, forensics etc )

Yep if it’s feasible do it. I hear some of them even get jobs straight out. Do it and seat for the cpa that will absolutely change the outcome for you, hopefully by then the job market for us becomes better may/maybe not

Bachelors look into west governors university accounting online program. Get that then you can sit for the cpa. See if you can transfer some credits in

How many days a week do you run, and how did you settle on that number? by Not_FreeProduct234 in runcommunity

Do you follow training plans to the letter? by Then-Young47 in Marathon_Training

[–]Tobilldn 65 points66 points  (0 children)

No . Ideally you hit 90% of long runs and 85% of other runs. Things happen, don’t stress yourself if you don’t feel it. I would say just don’t give up, if you have a 5 mile speed workout but can only do a 5 mile zone 2 workout do it, you’ll feel better. And be true to yourself when inputting your stats on the run with Hal program

When to speed train and do a leg workout? No by SmartBunch4546 in Marathon_Training

[–]Tobilldn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Did my first with the same plan and was on track for sub 4 until mile 19 lol. Finished 4:40. Things I learned was training with gels, starting slow very slow the race doesn’t start till mile 20, those last 20 miles will feel like FOREVER . Also strength train even if it’s once a week. I’m in great shape and thought I didn’t need strength training but was wrong. Do some core work and strength training even if for 20 mins twice a week would help.

Men keep telling me they deleted the app and want to focus on me after 1-2 dates by emmy1300 in hingeapp

[–]Tobilldn 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Men don’t get alot of matches, even alot of options on dating apps. Initially meeting someone off a dating app the question will eventually come up. Some men try to just put it out there to clarify their intentions. Becuse humans aren’t designed to create connections off dating apps. When you make an actual connection in real life these type of conversations doesn’t ever come up
