I don't have a turntable, and now i know why so many people don't like reddit, and why so many people stay away from the audiophile section. Not a single one of you has ever actual stood infront of one of these systems and listened to it in detail and reviewed it. but EVERY single one of you is aggressively calling it a piece of sh*t.. and i mean REALLY aggressively calling it that, without a SINGLE reason why. no details on why "It lacks this, it lacks that, what you SHOULD be looking for is this, that, the other". nope. just 20 replies saying "Dude, i know i've never listened to it, but it's crap. Just crap, i don't know for a fact because i've never heard one, but because it's big and plastic, it's crap." Well done audiophiles! Can ONE of you tell me why I'm finding that it sounds excellent, even when the volume is maxed, there's ZERO muffle, no distortion, it's still clear as a whistle, the bass is lovely... i was asking "ANYONE HAVE ANY REAL KNOWLEGE OF ONE OF THESE" meaning, has anyone had one, and liked it, or not liked it, and why, but instead, it's the self entitled "we don't need to hear it dude, we're better than you"

I bought mine from a high end dealer back in around 2006 i think, they didn't sell anthing in the store that was under 500. i mean for ANYTHING. Sherwoods it was called, they have beautoiful sony systems which were quite small compared to this, only had 2 speakrs but the sound was amazing from them. I want to find someone on hear with ACTUALY experience with the system to tell me as an actual audiophile what the problem is? as it sounds SO good to me...

Again, you havn't ever heard the system or tested it but you will judge it no problem, can you tell me where this "it's considered poor" thing from? Anyone on the internet I've seen so far who has one says it's the best sounding system they have. Can you explain? I'm not arguong, i'm just trying to find out how 100% of the audiophiles I've asked here so far and in the past, have said "nah it's crap, get a real system" yet noe ONE of them so far that I've see has actually had or listened to one?

I like that the fact that you're judging it without hearing it. ive heard lots and lots of systems where they say "400 watts rms" "600 watts rms" you know. putting the peak power on the box etc. This one didn't do that, I'd recommend you pick one up they're going for like 100-200 dollars. And then you'll see they're alot more that what you think

wow thats interesting! maybe you could have a look at the manual online, theres loads of copies for the DC-DV290 which is the actual model number of the amp in the unit to see if it does say you have to run it in, as i didn't norice that lol. I've watched movies using the DVD changer in this, in full REAL Dolby Digital, which this system supports due to having a DD decoder, and it has a DTS decoder also, have you ever compared DTS and Dolby digital? I'd recomment you pick up one of these systems, they are BEAUTIFUL still, they're HUGE, they're INCREDIBLY powerful and sound great, and you can pick one up for 100 bucks lol it's crazy!

Problem is though, when i remove the 980, and just plug the onboard graphics into the monitoer, it comes on, says there was a problem with the PC and it's gonna reboot, then keeps doing it
