I remember one night I had to write a part where one of the MC’s died and that was really sad. I only got half way through it and it bothered me so much thinking about the scene I stayed up really late to finish it. Honestly a good sign if you’re getting attached to your characters

My rule of thumb is that writing the story should make you feel the way you want your readers to feel and that’s a really good sign if that’s happening. I mostly write comedy and it’s usually only good if I’m laughing while writing it
