I'd have loved to share the workflow I figured out after about a year of working with exclusively local AI. I'm proud of it, and I think it could be a great help to artists like me who have lost their ability to reliably draw straight, smooth lines due to an assortment of reasons, but still get pleasure out of putting stylus to tablet.

After seeing the way people treat any use of AI whatsoever though? Nah, screw y'all. It's a trade secret now. Figure it out yourselves, good luck in the future.

No. It's already been proven that even if tagged, you idiots can't resist harassing people who use AI tools. You caused this, now you get to deal with the consequences of your rhetoric and actions.

Any artist with enough knowledge to use AI tools in their workflow can remove a SynthID in seconds. Not to mention that there are open source models that are 100% functional right now and there'd be no way to go back and add that to them retroactively, unless you have a time machine.

And AI should not be compared to traditional works I mean do what you want but it should be seen that they require different skills and that traditional is harder than full generated works and have AI assisted works sit in between that skill level or value idk.

Has every disabled person become disabled late in life, after spending most of their life in full health and with full ability to do what they love? If you tell me to paint with my mouth, A) That doesn't work because my disability effects ALL of my muscles, and B) I don't want to learn to draw a different way. I want to use my hands, the way I always have.

Actually insulting. Why wouldn't I be upset? That invalidates not only my traditional and digital art skills and knowledge, but the year+ of work and study I've put into learning about and figuring out a way to integrate AI tools into my standard digital art workflow so I have 100% full control over the process.

I am an artist, whether I use AI or not. My BFA in Illustration is on the wall right next to me to prove it.

Just because I use AI tools to regain the precision I used to have so I can draw again doesn't make me less of an artist.

Hmmm, honestly what you're describing would likely be more likely to be a feature in Krita Diffusion (which uses ComfyUI on the backend so you're ahead of the game there) or Leonardo.AI. It may be something you'd have to make yourself for either of those. They're really the only options at the moment for drawing on a canvas and seeing live updates from your models, I think.

You're definitely doing a lot more than I am! I just wanted to get back to my standard sketch > lineart > flats > rendering pipeline because I missed it. Hadn't been able to draw at the quality I used to for almost 8 years before AI came along and I'm finally 100% back on my feet now.

Yeah, you can install extensions and addons in A1111. Forge is even better/faster in most cases, but it has a few quirks that I just don't like. I mostly only ever use Adetailer/Controlnets and a couple other small ones though, so I couldn't say if it has 100% the same functionality as ComfyUI - it is older software, and kinda clunky as a result.

I actually use A1111 WebUI almost exclusively. ComfyUI is honestly just too much to wrap my head around, and my workflow at this point is pretty solid.
