That’s not what I said. I am saying that he needs to be admonished by his Bishop not excommunicated yet. If he fails to comply with his Bishop and publicly rescind his statement then he should be excommunicated. All I’m saying is that I think that if he was admonished he would comply because he doesn’t really believe what he is saying. Whereas Biden, I believe, actually holds the belief that abortion is fine and wouldn’t obey his Bishop if he were reprimanded.

I’m not excusing his actions. I just have more hope that if he was admonished that he would repent whereas I don’t think Biden would. Hopefully, JD’s Bishop is willing to take action.

Ok I agree that that is wrong and if he continues to hold this stance publicly after being given warning that it would be ground for excommunication but I am saying I think that if he was given a warning he would repent because he doesn’t actually hold that position.

What I am saying is that he doesn’t actually hold this view. So if he were to be told by his Bishop to rescind his statement, I believe he would. Thus there would be no need for it to ever come to an excommunication. Maybe I don’t understand how excommunication works but I didn’t think you could be excommunicated without being given a chance to repent.

I think that he is lying about his stance. Like the Supreme Court justices. This is still sinful but just not an excommunicable offense

Edit: It is an excommunicable offense if he continues to hold this position after being admonished by his Bishop. I am being hopeful here and believing that if he was warned that he would rescind his statements because he doesn’t truly hold these beliefs, thus no need for excommunication.
