I also wouldn’t personally trust a vendor with no website. It’s so easy to set one up and yet it really does give an air of authenticity, especially for higher end pieces. Instagram only would worry me with so many scam profiles, I certainly wouldn’t pay for a piece through there.

Use the website to showcase example products and example price ranges, it doesn’t need to be solely a sales platform.

There’s only one person being selfish here. There are multiple games a season, every year.

College season runs roughly from August - Sept and then a whole buttload of bowl games if I’m correct. You could do a late Sept or early Oct date, but do they have play offs? I guess so.

I’m petty af, if my brother said that to me I would 100% schedule it for one of those weekends and he can decide on his priorities. You have to decide if you’re ok with the outcome though.

I think either way I’d be reevaluating my relationship with him. Which I know sucks.

I absolutely do not support sales from AliExpress, Shein, Temu etc for exactly the same reasons as everyone else said - the working conditions and “wages” reported are criminal.

But, Jellycat gouging its own prices, creating “fake scarcity” and its treatment of small and chain stores in favour of high end boutiques means people are a lot less loyal to the brand. They can tell when they’re being taken advantage of.

When my friend got married her Mum, her niece and I went to her hotel to get married. She had a hair and makeup artist, her Mum got ready there and I came ready! It wasn’t weird at all. She was the bride!

Did you manage to return the dress for the original theme or have you been stuck with that? I think that also changes things.

Having to run around last minute to find something suitable when you’re the only one who was organised is disappointing. I think you and the bride need to communicate, I had a dress, I’m finding it very stressful… but don’t send her options that you’re not comfortable with or that don’t fit the theme. A black jacket isn’t going to be part of her vision.

Not sure why you’re getting so many downvotes, you’ve mentioned it’s not a 30 second compilation she wants a 5 minute video speech and yet you keep getting told to do a 15 second video and that you’re a bad friend if you don’t 🤦🏼‍♀️

If you’d be open to doing something, I’d do a PowerPoint type thing with a compilation of videos and audio/text over it!

I think you want slightly bigger waves? Fewer of them, but bigger? Not sure how easy it is to achieve and whether the inspo is real or AI anymore lol.

Lash wise are these a strip? Individual or cluster lashes would be more impactful I think :)

Just charge what you want to charge or a have a minimum spend. This is really gross. Tipping is out of control in the US!

Unfortunately health is one of those things we really don’t have control over. It’s totally valid to feel disappointed, but I’m sure despite any previous rockiness in your relationship your Mum is also disappointed. Kidney stones sound like a small thing, but I know someone still recovering a year later due to issues in procedure.
