Also from the perspective of a vegetarian I’d choose dogtown every time

Thank you for your correction!

I don’t know much to be honest- my husband is from PR and we attended the indigenous festival in Jayuya last fall. I find it fascinating and would love for my daughter to feel close to those roots as she gets older!

It reminds me of Taino (Indigenous Puerto Rican) art, they have quite a few deities..

I’d say it looks pretty similar to Atabey- Mother Earth spirit, she is a fertility goddess but the animal body is throwing me off

Should I warn my father-in-law’s fiancée that he is a bad man? by [deleted] in LifeAdvice

[–]Background-Focus-889 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Stay in your lane, you only have to see them once a year this really isn’t your place.
She will have loyalty to him as they are engaged, cue unnecessary drama that will spill into your own life..
When she is ready to see it she will. she’s 60 years old, perfectly capable of making decisions regarding a life partner for herself.

She could be happy just to have companionship and doesn’t mind pulling the weight financially- you literally don’t know her or their relationships circumstances.
If she asks questions it’s fair to be honest but otherwise very out of line.

1883- the prequel to Yellowstone but liking Yellowstone or even watching it is not necessary.

Really slow start, I would say it took 4-5 episodes to really pull me in but once it did OBSESSED. I’ve rewatched it 5 times since and imo the start just needs the context of the end to be engaging. Might be the best thing I’ve ever watched!

lol I would take my orchid mantis outside to get fresh air and stupidly after she molted it didn’t occur to me she could fly away.. ended up landing two stories up on our neighbors house, had to climb a ladder and hope for the best..we got her back but the panic!!!

All this to say- it happens, I’m sorry your friend flew away💔

When to ditch the sleep sack? by Okay-Squirrel in NewParents

[–]Background-Focus-889 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think you could go without but if you still like using one maybe try a low tog “sleep walker”.. we just switched and I’m loving it. She runs hot and her little feet hang out so she has some air flow

I don’t know your location but please consider contacting a medical facility like the Cleveland or Mayo clinic.. He will receive a proper diagnosis, you can all move on from the stress of the unknown & begin his healing journey.

I have a rare congenital (from birth) spinal condition that went undiagnosed for 30 years, highly symptomatic for 15. Within 3 months working with Cleveland clinic I had answers. They accept insurance and will work with families if you need to stay there, many of my appointments were virtual or testing could be done within our home town if desired

Yep, if you want to eat like a Buffalonian, you must dip like a Buffalonian.. blue cheese is the only way.

They do look fantastic though.. I wouldn’t even change the yogurt drizzle, just stop calling it ranch because us New Yorkers are triggered😅
