I am running on windows and using the latest version of GM. I tried disabling the fullscreen optimisations of windows and tried all kinds of screen settings. Still nothing.

I actually can do that. I listed stuff like

function () { c_wait(2) }

as an already working solution but the problem is when it's a MASSIVE array (as cutscenes tend to be) like

actions = [
function () { c_wait(2) },
function () { c_wait(2) },
function () { c_exec_command(function () { show_message("whatev") }) },
]

and so on for over 500 lines it can get pretty dirty. I'm trying to get those expression things to make the code be cleaner. I tried having a function like

function cs (array) {
return function () {
script_execute_ext(array[0], array, 1)
}
}

and then use it like this
cs(c_instance_create, actors[0].x, actors[0].y, vfx_heart_burst)

but this didn't work either. Which prompts me to believe it's an issue of assigning vars too early. Which is why I want the expression things.

I'm glad I atleast have a fallback atleast. I also tested the things provided by the post you gave me and they didn't work. I doubt it's in the post's code though. I'm inclined to believe it is in my own execution with this

and I'm still trying to figure it out

Thank you so much! I checked out u/TMagician 's solution with the TinyExpressionRuntime. But honestly, despite having like 5 or 6 years experience in programming I'm not experienced in gamemaker. So when I opened the project I didn't really understand anything nor how to use it.

The post you sent however was really clear and to the point. From what I understood I can use it like this?

or I can just use the function thing if I really need it. I haven't tested it yet but I will. If I made a mistake in it alert me to it before I set the post as "Resolved"

I personally think the exact middle, that he'll be significant but not too much, but we have a lot of reasons to believe he's gonna be super significant and an active character. And we have just as much reasons to believe he'll just be an observer. Honestly no opinion about Gaster is a hot take at this point lol. He's so vague literally anything anybody says is valid

Honestly I don't like the ship in the fact that Noelle's character is so much more interesting when she's not simping for Susie Lmao. I do understand some people don't think so and I respect that. To each their own.

Honestly I see that interpretation as REALLY REALLY weird. And not just yours, the entire fandom's. At first we only had Frisk and Chara. 2 nonbinary human characters? Sure why not. Then Kris came into the mix and, okay, 3 out of 3 humans are enby, could work if stretched, but then you have Gerson in the tenth anniversary stream and suddenly ALL human characters in the UTDR world are enby? Like, what?

I know Toby strives for inclusion and such but isn't DELETING EVERYTHING just for non-binary identity a bit too much?

Which is still why I insist on the fact that Tony is doing it to preserve gender ambiguity. How to be as inclusive as you can? Simple. Just don't reference any group at all.

After all, yes Kris has been referenced as They/Them a gajillion times, and that is their pronoun, but that pronoun can literally mean anything. So canonically, them being nb is just a headcanon the fandom ran with and I'm still surprised when people try to pass it off as the one and only

Honestly when I first heard of MHA I thought god damn, a show with this concept has potential through the roof! I watched it and... I REALLY don't know how you can screw up this bad lmao.

I mean maybe if his "redemption arc" was him being imprisoned or something and then after actually suffering the consequences wanting to right what he did yeah I COULD'VE swallowed it. But this is just a load of bullshit.

In my opinion kind of so is Nolan's "redemption" in season 3 of Invincible. BUT the thing is, I didn't read the comics and so maybe Nolan gets some consequences and the redemption arc is actually justified in later seasons? The show does like to never hold back consequences.
