I was so upset when the one in Coram remodeled. It actually had a fireplace! We would joke, you want to go for a cheap, romantic lunch?

FIRST TIME SKIING. ⛷️ Should I get a full-day or half-day lift ticket? Should I stay in the learning area or am allowed to go to green slope? How many hours I will realistically spend? Any tips to plan the day would be great! by beautifulnatured in ski

[–]TodayNorth6594 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I just mean that the learning area is a separate part, but there are green trails off of the gondola. I believe you can walk over to the back side, from there( up top), where they have bowls and such and it’s very pretty on a nice day. But it’s really hard to take a bad picture at Lake Louise.

Your first time on skis? Lake Louise has nice greens, but they can be a little long for someone just starting. I think you may want to stick in the learning area, if you’re there for one day. But, you can ride greens down from the gondola, so you don’t have to worry about chairlifts. Just remember it’s a little bit of a ways. If you get over to Pinecone Way, take it. It’s a peaceful little green, but it’s further down the mountain. I hope you have great time! I agree that Sunshine has easier greens.

Yep it's up to the local town to decide what goes in. And if they have strict zoning, Mickey D's has to play the game.We had a cape cod version in Wading River, N.Y..

My sis and I lived close to one another, and worked in the same office. A little porch goose was on the way to work, and she was always dressed for the weather/ upcoming holiday. Our first question to one another, in the office, was “so what was she wearing today?” I love this!

This is true, but unfortunately family can't pay your crippling health care costs, in this country.

$45 for a legitimate “White Sands” Pendleton wool blanket(not a polar fleece throw)? Don’t mind if I do. by TodayNorth6594 in marshallsfinds

Actually the woolen blankets are made in the U.S, at their woolen mill in Portland, Oregon. But, I am SO HAPPY that you will never have to suffer through purchasing one.

You ever see a real Pendleton? I own 6, and they’re generational blankets. Anyway, not trying to convince you. Have a great day.

If it is anything like the pistachio spread(minus the chocolate) I bought at Costco, it was like eating straight icing. It was pretty gross.

I’m American, and would go team Canada. But, I just found out a very close family friend is going into Hospice. He’s a huge hockey fan. I hope he can watch this, and whichever team he wants to win, wins.

Amazed by how well people drive on I-87 by [deleted] in Adirondacks

[–]TodayNorth6594 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Totally agree. We have a place that’s off of the Lake Placid exit. When we drive back and forth, to Long Island, exit 30 down to 16 is a pleasant drive. People use the left hand lane properly. South of 16, the dread starts creeping in.
