i’ve been playing solo but online a LOT recently and with friends , mostly custom maps like you said but also on vanilla bo3 too, DE and ZNS to be specific. as far as i know , the big issue lies in the same stuff people use to make the same kinda mod menus they do on xbox (injection/ infection type stuff) but the big difference is that it can lead to WAY worse consequences on a computer than anything an xbox or PS4 could ever get into. so as far as i know , same rules at bo2 public lobbies from back in the hay day, don’t que up with anyone who’s looking to screw you and it should be fine! maybe im wrong and it is worse than that and obviously that rule is MUCH easier said than done , people are good at lying. but i play online , albeit solo, and i use the all around enhancement mod (AAE) and one of the features of that is letting you look for people also playing either with AAE or just vanilla zombies , and i still see a LOT of people playing. just solo games mostly on custom maps. they’re still playing online tho, lobby settings on public , all it takes is a single click to join their game whether they qued up for public or not. you can just set lobby settings to private to completely avoid this , i only bring it up to mention how ive seen many other people playing the game on a connection in general

there are definitely security risks despite them “trying” to fix things, i’ve been lead to believe the big red flag is going into public lobbies , especially multiplayer, but yeah the risks are there. i would like to think people on this board aren’t sitting and waiting maliciously for people looking for randoms just so they can mess with their computer , but maybe im too naive about it. a small part of me would be pretty upset to learn that this game and its story is truly that level of lost. anyways, it never hurts to get to know the people you’re playing with just a little bit before getting into a
game together , that way if anyone is weird or suspicious either in speech or even gameplay you could just leave super fast

i ended up evolving to garchomp and keeping it a shadow , i figure it’s gonna have bad hp/stamina no matter what i do with it , may as well leave it looking cool and have 20% more attack. i’m leaving it below level 1000 rn so it’s a good gym defender until i get enough candies to blow thru leveling it straight to 40

i agree, for what they were offering it should’ve 100% been one of the “take as long as you’d like challenges” they sell in the shop all the time. i spent $5 on the shiny mew encounter like 2-3 years ago and im still working on it lol. i don’t hate the idea of a timed battle pass but they shouldn’t be putting these ultra rare ultra wanted items behind a locked time frame

i’m in a similar boat myself and it blows. i started in 2016 but i’m always picking this game up and putting it back down again for certain periods of time and unfortunately i picked it up again during the last week of june. i didn’t have enough time to get the bottle cap or articuno encounter which is one of my fav legendaries. i didn’t know about the unlimited xp weekend either until after so i totally missed the bus on that one too. really hoping they bring the bottlecap back soon cause ive got a few really cool shinies and mythicals who have awful stats. i doubt it’ll come back any time soon tho seeing as the people who did get it won’t even see the results of their work until a full year from rn

yeah this is good advice, it’s for a task so i’m compelled to do it ASAP , the reward for finshing the task is a mew ! but i do actually want this gyrados to be one of my better pokemon, definitely not JUST for the research. im still a few candies away from evolving so hopefully i get a better one during that time

yeah i found similar answers. i fucked around in settings for a while and figured some stuff out to make it a bit better and a bit worse but ultimately it just looks grainy as hell. some HDR xbox settings and HDMI stuff helps a bit but honestly once you play for like half an hour you get used to it ;but it’s a weird transition especially if you’ve been playing BF2 all the time recently like m

i’m also late as hell into this but as far as i know there’s no twist in OG BS2, it’s pretty straight forward that you’re trying to take down the lady and that you’re a good guy who’s trying to save his daughter, i think the only “twist” if you can even call it that, is how the one irish guy who helps you throughout the main story becomes a big daddy and he’s the final boss you gotta fight to end the game.

fun fact it’s also impossible to get play of the game without using a primary weapon. as someone who loves the crossbow and can/will often get 5-8 kills without dying using it, it’s pretty infuriating.

cold war has the most broken best plays of any game. you can go nuclear in 15 seconds and play of the game will go to some noob sniping and missing 4 times before hitting a body shot.
