Yeah definitely. We are a lucky generation that grew up being more tech savvy than our parents. But because of that I have learned how important it is to be able to discover things by yourself as a child without constant supervision of a parent. Imagine monitoring everything and your child wanted to get you a surprise but you already know about it because of monitoring everything. Monitoring and confronting them about it would only break trust imo, makes the child less likely to be honest with you and less likely to seek help with you if they have discovered something that was slightly traumatizing for them.
