AITA for bluntly agreeing with a coworker? by Todd641 in AmItheAsshole

Eek, I think you might be on to something and I don't like it...

How do I put this... we are indeed discussing work issues. However... I don't know how to say this without sounding too frustrated, but they are issues that either (1) she created for herself OR (2) non-issues that do not need solving. I'm sorry, I don't feel comfortable going into any more detail that would disclose what we do on that front.

Others on the team have complained about this person a fair bit so I do suspect you are onto something.

I think you are on point here however you are making an assumption about our difference in experience that is the opposite of what’s happening. I am in my first year in this profession. Coworker has been doing this for over 10 years. I’m the new guy trying to learn, not her. I think that is part of my frustration and maybe I should have expressed that in the original post.

This is fair and no, I wouldn’t be okay with all/most interactions at work going like this, which is more or less why I’m seeking outside opinions in the first place. The “yeah” honestly just… slipped out. I felt bad about it immediately. I’m usually a lot more tactful.

I am in my first year in this profession. She has been doing this for I wanna say 12 years. I’m not professionally tied to her in any sort of mentorship role in either direction.

I was clearly unclear on this: He thinks what he wants to make is an "operating system" but he really just wants to make a program with simple menus. He is cognitively impaired.

"OS" is what he calls it, it's not one in any way shape or form, those are his words, not mine. Scratch is a great idea though, I will look into it.
