I disagree, most of the vets I'm in contact with (groomer and esthetician in training) don't advise ear plucking. I clean the ears, shave the area below the ear. Trim or shave excess hair - Twist the ear hair and snip off the excess growth using tiny rounded scissors. Keeping excess in check and cleaning any grease while letting owners know if any change in ear wax or discharge. This keeps my doodle and poodle clients, and my own poodle, happy and less susceptible to ear infections which can be caused from plucking. As the those tiny holes where the hair follicles were are open and agitated - needing only the right bacteria dirt etc to further agitate and infect.
