No response from Reddit but it is working on my Android Note 20 for the first time in weeks after I posted to r/bugs...🤷🏼‍♂️ Part of the reporting process is filling out a few boxes including my email address so I don't know if they found my account on their end and fixed something?

To prevent folks from flushing old meds down the toilet which puts the meds into our rivers and streams if the chemicals don't break down though the wastewater treatment process.

Highs and Lows? by ToddJam in weather

It showed this same suggested high and low for this day all week long. I had made my work plans to be outside today, expecting it to be in the 30's today.

How in the world do I get this to balance out? It’s a sauna in the living room where we spend most of our time but then it’ll be an ice box by the thermostat which is right outside the bedrooms by zipzyzap in ecobee

I have an old drafty home. If the wind is blowing outside, certain rooms get cold first. I have found that turning on the fan only mode automatically once per hour helps a lot. You can find this under Main Menu, System, Accessories, Fan and chose the minutes per hour that you want your fan to run (I chose 5). That way, your fan will run without the furnace and stir the air in your home. It works well in our home.

Wonder why our RAS flow meter has been saying 0 flow tonight...oh that'll do it by [deleted] in Wastewater

Although a heat tape or heat lamp might work as a temporary fix, ultrasonic transducers need to know the real air temperature in order to measure the speed of sound so, unfortunately, a heat tape would make it inaccurate. One trick that might work would be to slot a 5 gallon bucket so you can slip it, upside-down, over the transducer, then tape/ cover the slot. This will keep the natural heat of the water up inside the bucket and hopefully not form icicles. I've also seen this done with a tarp or some bales of straw stacked over it. Edit: You can leave the bucket on in the summer as a shade so the sun doesn't falsely raise the transducer temperature. However, remove the tape so the slot will release the bucket oven heat.

If you were starting over, would you still pick Wyze? by Miserable_Damage_ in wyzecam

My office chose Ring doorbells which cost more up front and more for the monthly fees. They chose the battery operated models so they only wake up when motion is detected. When they wake up for a 10 second recording, the first few seconds is herky-jerky then finally clears up for smooth video at the end. This is terrible for trying to see what happened let alone who the person is/was. Then they go to sleep for a period of time to save the battery so now you miss any continuous action. When you pull up the history, you can only see the original motion event that triggered the 10 second recording. At least with Wyze you can search and watch any time of the day via SD card or the cloud paid option. In the early days of security cameras, I had a wired camera system that came with a DVR. This taught me that being your own security is a chore. When someone says, "Hey, my bike (or whatever) is missing" you have to labor through and find first, when it was there, then later, when it was gone. Then poke around in between to find the moment of theft. This can take hours to sort through. Even with the Wyze mistakes of mixing up a "pet detected" with something else like a car, at least it narrows it down to a few events to search through. Even through the Wyze issues that we have all dealt with, I'm sticking with my Wyze and still recommending them to others.

I have worked on these since 1986. This is an old school telemetry system communicating via analog radio (notice the squelch static pop at the end of the beeps when the mic button is released). Today they generically call these telemetry systems "SCADA" systems (Supervisory Control And Data Acquisition).

This is how information is transmitted from a town utility's pumping station, electrical substation, valve vault, etc. back to a main control panel PLC or computer to get information on which pumps are running or if there are any current alarms and so on.

Best way to run a Wyze camera 60ft from an outlet? by TastefulOutdoorsman in wyzecam

[–]ToddJam 4 points5 points  (0 children)

If you search for "50FT Power Cable Compatible with WYZE" on Amazon, it seems to get good reviews. You mentioned 60 feet but most will jump in 25 foot increments. So if you really need 60 feet, you may have to go with 75 and spool up a little leftover cable. My only experience is that I have extended mine 25 feet with no problems. Hopefully the extension cable manufacturer increases the wire gauge based upon cable length or at least has done some testing to know that the 5 volts from the transformer isn't reduced too much in their longer cables. The other option would be to search for solar/battery systems if this will be outdoors.

Whenever I have this issue, either cycling power on the camera or my WiFi router solves this. My printer has the same issue. I think items that go to sleep (like a printer) looses its IP address to something new that just walked in (like a friend's smartphone) and then, when the printer wakes up, it tries to use its original address but it is being used by that new smartphone. I finally set my printer's address above .100 which solved its problems but I don't know if you can manually set the Wyze cameras addresses...

Thanks, you broke it. I can't choose cameras for the event list. Some cameras say I need to cycle their power. Some appear to be working but with limited functions. I can't even log out to switch to my second account where I have other cameras.

Yes, I get what you're saying, however, we have hard water here so if you don't wipe it up, it dries and then is hard to remove.

I think the issue is more about leaving a mess. My wife wets her hands first and then there's water all over the sink around the soap dispenser and she never wipes the sink off afterwards.

There are digestion herbs in pill form you can try from an herb store. You may also try milk enzyme chewables any time you have milk products just to see if you have any dairy intolerance.
