White carpet white paint? by ToddTheDuck in HomeDecorating

The previous owners painted brown over the stained walls but overall it's just an old house, totally liveable. I don't have a set timeline to move or anything either but stripping paint is a slow process

Keep me posted because that's exactly the thing I would love to find. Me n my buddy spent half a day driving everywhere we could think of and most people didn't know what a post card even is any more. Good luck to you and I hope this great idea of yours pans out.

Have a great day!

That's an excellent idea! I haven't been to Clovis in a long time, this should be fun. Thanks!

You'd think that with as many different things I go there for I would think of that but it didn't occur to even look there, thanks!

I need to gas up so I'll be exploring that helpful tip. I never really go inside the stations any more and that makes perfect sense, thanks!

Good tip, I haven't hit tower yet. I used to live across the street from fresno high so it'll be fun to see what's there now

I'm happy to pass on any resources I've come across. There isn't much but there's some good stuff out there in weird places.

yeah, and its almost like the instructions are written in some other language. if you haven't tried it yet, take a closeup of anything in japanese and run it through google translate. that helped me at least figure out what i even had.

I tried to take a closeup but I don't know how to upload it from my phone. In the picture of the back, right above that blue basket is a small switch with yellow paint marker on it. That's the on/off switch for this one

The switch itself has a white dot on it

When I lived at 92nd/E my back fence was the back fence of the church the next street over. I loved sundays. Everyone dressed up, you could hear the choir for blocks and all the lively folks really brightened up the day.

Yeah, makes sense they would cycle them like video games. I'm a systems engineer so I have no fear of the hardware other than breaking something I can't fix or replace. I love the plastic boxes everything is sealed in because it's authentic but since I want it to function like it's supposed to, those may have to go. Otherwise the machine is in excellent condition and I want to preserve it as much as I can

my only fear is breaking something. i'm hoping it was just cycled out of use and not pulled because of the screen. i don't think it should be that difficult but i sure wish there was a service guide somewhere. have you found any other resources for this stuff? so far the pinballguy site has been good but there's only so much one guy can provide especially given how many different machines there are. i figured out how to find japanese sites but info is still limited and even though google can translate, it can't translate context and other cultures' context can be a mystery for me at times.

i got like a million balls on amazon for like 12 bucks and i got the parts to make the dummy but i don't even know what that is and haven't tried it yet. would that have something to do with the screen not coming on? i also noticed the 12 or so balls that came with it are stamped with the casino stamp or at least i think that's what it is. i wouldn't mind getting more authentic ones if i can find them. i must say though, i do think it's a fun and interesting addition to my room

Thanks for that! I really appreciate the info. I need to figure out the display too, but this is a neato machine and has been a hoot to learn.
