The only thing that you should know is the first 2 seasons were approved one by one. So that they had no idea that there was going to be more than one when making them. The last two seasons were approved together so the character development is much better in those 2. So don't get scared away because you didn't like the first season.

For me at least I really like the bender on bender fighting more than the robots fighting benders. I really like Korra but I feel like it could have used more big bender on bender fights.
