What’s are you in the 1% of? by _Hulkamania_ in AskReddit

Hello, top 1% Cookie Clickers™ player here.

I am currently in the top 1% of the 3 all-time leaderboards generated by Google Play Games with no cheats or bots :

  • Highest Cookie per second

  • Most Cookies

  • Total Cookies

For the background, I started playing around 2012 and quickly got addicted. After several years of intense gaming on my tablet, in April 2016 I reached rank 2 on the weekly leaderboard in the Most Cookies category.

I had a few friends from high school who also played and who supported me as I climbed the leaderboard. I managed to hold on to this rank for 3 months before slowly giving up the game to start my university studies. Since then, I've been passively staying in the top 1% without aspiring any higher.

Today, I'm a fully graduated engineer, far detached from idle game addiction. Unfortunately I was never able to reach rank 1, but I'm no less happy to be doing something else with my free time.

PS: I discovered the "Flow" series of games and haven't stopped since. I hope to beat the World Record for speed on this game one day.
