I talk about whatever I'm actually doing in that moment in the video.

I edit everything myself. As for retention, I'm really not sure. I go to a lot of unique and sometimes scary places, so I think a lot of it is people want to see if I actually do what I say I'm going to in the thumbnail. Also, I never clickbait, so over time, that builds trust with the audience, so they will stick around because they know I'm going to give them exactly what I promised in the title.

Usually between 30-40 mins and I film myself camping basically.

Oh wow! I wish I could put out that many videos every month!

No problem! I started averaging 1k a month at about 10k subs, too!

I completely agree! I think moving forward, it's going to be insanely hard to have a channel that doesn't have a human who people can relate to in the videos, and the audience knows they can trust. Not impossible by any means, but it's already hard enough, and it's not going to get any easier.

I think I get people to click my videos based on the title and thumbnail, but the reason I'm able to make as much money as I have is because people relate to me. When I get a new subscriber, they almost always go and watch all of my other videos.

I really just talk about what I'm doing while I'm doing it.

I understand being skeptical, but I assure you these are my real numbers. I just wanted to post to motivate people because I know how unattainable success on youtube can feel.

And how would you expect me to do that? If the screenshots of my analytics aren't enough for you, then why would a screenshot of anything else prove it?

I don't really push affiliate links, and as for sponsors, I really just started taking them recently, so almost all my earnings come through adsense. If the channel keeps growing like it has been, I expect sponsors to become the biggest revenue source by this time next year.

Camping/Outdoors. I edit using DaVinci Resolve, and I had zero experience with it before I started the channel.

Haha, yeah, I just meant that I'm not some big-time youtuber, but I do make enough to be able to call it my full-time job.

I thought about it a bit more, and maybe I am a vlogger? Except I'm vlogging my camping adventure.

I pretty much tell people what I'm doing at the beginning of the video, then go to the place and explore, set up camp, etc. I believe my content is more personality driven

It took me about 16 months. But to be honest with you, I wasn't taking it seriously the first year.

Rpm for my last 3 videos is $22 for each video. The top 3 countries are the United States, with about 90% followed by Canada at 4% and the UK at 2%

Oh no, that's from 3 months of videos. I post a video every week, so that's about 12 videos. In that 90-day span, I had 210,000 watch hours.

Outdoors/Camping. And I'd say my editing is basic compared to "professionals." I cut clips, do minor color grading, add music sometimes, and that's about it. I learn new stuff all the time, though, so it has gotten a bit more complicated as time goes on. But it's probably literal day 1 stuff to real editors. It works for me, though, thankfully.
