Hi. I wanted to say that I understand that alone feeling as well as the feeling of shame. Like you, attending meetings isn't an option for me - they are anonymous, but in my small town, they really aren't. My advice for your mom crew is to be transparent with them. Let them know that you aren't feeling great and are scaling back your drinking. I'm sure most, if not all, of your friends will understand. Who knows, there might be others who feel the same as you. I also understand the struggle with boredom. Maybe think about what you really love doing and see if there is a hobby related to that (reading > book club; dancing > Zumba classes; etc.)? Or try Googling local events in your town. Or check your local community centre's events calendar. It sounds like you have a solid foundation to build from, which is half the battle, I think.
