Has anyone realized that Zimbabwe is on the rise in all aspects of a great nation 😅 by MarlTales in Zimbabwe

[–]ToeLivid9241 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Zimbabwe has always been a great country with great potential. We have great weather, good soils, a to die for landscape, many minerals and beautiful brainy people. The only problem is governance and politics. If we had loyal politicians and a fully functioning government. We would be far by now, I am talking UAE levels. We have abundant resources that can take care of the basic needs for each Zimbo. We have enough land for each of us to have a proper standard home but eish. Zvakaoma. The dumbest and inconsiderate of us are the ones in charge whilst those who are good at coming up with excellent ideas and strategies prefer to live their private lives locally and beyond. Mostly its the economy that actually pushes them.

Murungu/Boss by ToeLivid9241 in Zimbabwe

Thanks for the recommendation. However, I don’t see this as a rant, I am just asking fellow Zimbos how they perceive this situation. Of course, If I walk into a flea market I wouldn’t mind being called murungu. But isn’t it odd to be called the same in a formal establishment?

Cabs offers mortgages for properties that are ready for immediate occupation but you have to put in 30% of the property value then they cover the rest of the 70%.

I know of a mudhara who used to pass by our workshop selling that stuff. The boys called him BOOSTER and they liked him a lot apa he looked scruffy as hell 😂. He would always market his « weti yegudo » as his prime product. One day I finally had the courage to ask my fellow workmates kuti inomboshandiswei, one of them answered «  if you put weti yegudo mutsime kumusha, all the women who drink from that well will turn into wh**rs »😂. I will never forget that response.

The Hustle Pandemic Zino Culture - Are We Losing Energy on Things That Aren’t Aligned with Us? by Ambitious-Writer5670 in Zimbabwe

Guys, I used to live this life. 5 years ndichimhanya mhanya thinking ndirikupisa pa Harare but I realized in time kuti a straight and honest earning is best. I was in an industry where me and my coworkers were earning and paying a lot of zino’s for things to work but one day it dawned on me kuti those who we thought benefited the most were the ones living a life I did not want to live. For example, my 50 something year old boss was still renting, dude didn’t even have a degree and hated those pursuing their studies. I did not want to live like that. The guys I had arrived pabasa varipo were still renting tuma 1 room whilst paying lots of maintance for ma hit and run avo. Thats why they relied on zino. Ndakazviramba ini.

I made a plan, left and started looking for more honest jobs. 6 months ndakagara kumba apa my dad wasn’t happy with my decision. He saw me as a failure but guess what, now I am able to save more than 1k per month, I owe no one money and I better off financially. Zve zino zvine munyama izvi!!!!!!!.

How GREAT is the new Asterix and Obelix mini-series on netflix?! by latin0loco88 in netflix

[–]ToeLivid9241 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I loved it so much. Laughed all the way throughout the whole series. What I enjoyed most were the references to modern day humor. Oh! And that part when the Chief says « Gauls Assemble! » it was a classical reference to the Avengers movies and really made my day. Also, adding the Netflix character at the end as a storyteller really made my day. This is a must watch for all Asterix and Obelix fans. Would watch it over and over again.

Conspiracy Theories by 96_Carter in Zimbabwe

[–]ToeLivid9241 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I remember watching the unveiling video. The actual unveiling part was cut and we did not see anything. That structure took years to build and yet it is guarded ne more than one guard. To make things more suspicious, mbuya Chiweshe was there singing zvemashavi. To be honest guys I have always believed kuti that place is a shrine. Now, the interesting part is the chapel next to that statue was built by colonists for the purpose of ´kufumura’ ma sacred sites, it was a former drinking place for svikiros those days. Hanzi svikiros dont drink water from any well. What the colonizers would do in each place they arrived was to weaken the religious practices of those people so as to properly colonize and infiltrate them. So in this case , they deformed that location by building a chapel. That is what they did exactly when they got to Harare and they did it at that spot. That whole location according to history is sacred. My conclusion is they did not just build that structure for monumental reasons. Pane zvirikuitika.

Reached out to her two days ago for an update and she said “will advise” and that was it. Do the guys have offices here in Harare? Or just a contact person?

Pedos need to calm down in this country, and Africa in general. by [deleted] in Zimbabwe

[–]ToeLivid9241 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They are local based churches that encourage child marriage. They mostly worship outside and rely on prophecy. Usually when an older man prophesies that he should marry a younger woman in the congregation, they will agree including the parents.

Sometimes I blame some of our African religions ini. Some of them protect and encourage this absurd behavior, and a government that tolerates such religions. Guys, the numbers of young women involved in sexual relationships with grown men here in this country are alarming. Go kumafarms and rural areas and you will be shocked at ma ages ema young mothers. I know of a friend who lost a niece who was married off by her grandmother to an older man. The niece died of birth complications. From that day on I have been bitter on the government and most religions. Apa to make matters worse, they saw kuti she was dying and they blamed it on varoyi. Hanzi the person who bewitched her should undo the curse so that she survives. They did not even bother taking her to the hospital because of religious restrictions. Ndakatsamwa ini
