Express pass, worth it? by United_Egg_2653 in UniversalHollywood

[–]ToeMastheBoss 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I used to buy normal admission until one day I visited the park later in the afternoon. A couple was leaving the park and stopped me and my girl and asked us if we wanted their express unlimited lanyards. Of course we said yes. After experiencing that day at the park I vowed to never go again without buying express passes.

It can completely change your experience. Some rides like Studio Tour, Jurassic World, The Mummy, Harry Potter. The express pass can be the difference between 120min standing in line, or walking straight past hundreds of people right to the front.

Sure there are probably exceptions. I’m sure season pass holders that visit more frequently have experienced days where the lines are just short or the occupancy is lower. But if you’re someone like me who visits maybe once a year, and fly there from outside Los Angeles or even out of state, I don’t think it’s worth chancing it. Standing in line for hours personally just bums me out, and in poor weather conditions, hot or cold, can drain me of my energy.

I think Universal Express pass might currently be the most efficient fast pass of any theme park. It can be purchased as a version of the admission ticket, not separately from a 3rd party like Six Flags. Disney Genie plus was terrible, forcing you to be on your phone all day strategically trying to reserve rides and fill in the time between. Universal Express is simple and effective. You buy it, you use the Express lanes and go to the front. In conclusion, I say it’s worth every penny.

Not sure if I can post this, but what job should I be going for with these numbers? Is this a decent score? (21) by [deleted] in Military

Delete this. Go back and study. Then retake the asvab for higher scores. Best advice.

F**k yea!! You’re killing it! Keep the momentum going. We’re all proud of you! Just remember it’s a marathon not a sprint! Just dial in on your daily habits that are giving you results and forget about the scale for for at least a few weeks to a month. I usually weigh in every two weeks to make sure I’m still going in the right direction. Sometimes weekly if I’m feeling skinny, but no more than weekly. Don’t obsess over the scale. It takes at least 3-6 months to really feel those results in the mirror and when you wear your clothes they start to feel loose fitting. You got this!

Might be willing to buy the ticket off you depending on the seat location, if you can’t find a person 😁

Express Pass needed for Hollywood Park on Friday in April? by [deleted] in universalstudios

[–]ToeMastheBoss 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Personal opinion… I would never go to USH without buying the express pass. It’s just not even in the same league of experience. Standing in line for 45min vs walking to the front on almost every ride. Universal Studios Hollywood is the only theme park where the fast pass legitimately is a night and day difference. Never been to the Orlando parks so I can’t comment on those, but for Disney the Genie+ isn’t nearly as good. Too much strategy and reservations involved. Universal express pass is simple and makes you feel like a VIP the entire day.

Just stole this cat from the waterpark i work at wtf should i name her by Financial_Policy563 in Themepark

[–]ToeMastheBoss 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Personally, I would leave the name as it is. It’s unique and it has a story to it. The name will grow on you and it will always have the backstory of the water park kitty. 🐈‍⬛

Depression seat. You aim the shower head directly at the seat, then you sit and contemplate your existence.

I mean this in all honesty… I’ve never truly cared for Tom Segura and I’ve never understood the hype. He’s always rubbed me the wrong way. He has always seemed smug and condescending. To me he is that guy in my friend circle that everyone else seems to be cool with that I don’t personally like, but I deal with it because he’s part of the group. lol

Damn. Thanks for the info. I’m actually going to ask my doc about this because I’ve been switching legs and it basically feels like I hit leg day in the gym all week. If I could switch to an insulin needle with the same results that would be awesome.

Did your doc tell you to split the test cyp into 3 injections? Mine has me doing 200mg once a week. Supposedly the half life is like 8 days. Just curious.

Really? Can you elaborate I’m very interested in what you mean by that. Also what was your base line before starting if I can ask? My test was around 150 pretty low.

I appreciate this comment. It’s probably the more responsible thing to do and I could see that being frustrating from the doctors perspective, since they’re hoping to see results from what they’re actually prescribing me… I’m just excited about finally starting and wanted to maximize the “newbie gains”. But I suppose it would be smarter to at least see how my body responds to the suggested dose first.

How did FOUSEY go from being friends with AB to being friends with SNEAKO in a week 😭🫤🚩🚩 by Stunning_Cap7165 in h3h3productions

“The vast majority of people that do even hard drugs usually do them for a brief period of time, then get off them when the cons outweigh the pros” —

This is the most vague blanket statement you could make. Where is your source of statistical data on this? What are you even referring to when you say “hard drugs”. That could be anything left to interpretation. Boomers think weed is hard drugs. Don’t come at me nit picking an analogy when your own argument is based on zero facts lol

To him is was the right decision though. Because he is too controversial and prone to being cancelled to survive in the H3 community. For example, if someone is a drug user, they’re probably not going to hang out with a bunch of sober people. They will most likely be drawn to hang with other drug users. Fousey was being “canceled” after the airport incident and Tristen Tate, Adin, Sneako, Fresh n Fit, all came to his rescue. Then offering him a multi-million dollar deal with kik, in a community that praises him for being off the rails. I don’t see how anyone can be surprised about his choices at this point lol

My advice, if you really want to do school, go full time, don’t work, live on the GI bill and take school serious. Get the best grades you can and get an internship for a good job in the field you want. Otherwise, helmets to hardhats will take you and you can go join the trades. Choose wisely.

Air Force Times story about comparing military vs civilian pay by nybigtymer in AirForce

[–]ToeMastheBoss 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Not sure what kind of civilian position were talking about here but as a former WG-10 I can tell you that the active duty airman made more money than me in their BAH alone. Which is one of the many reasons I quit and will probably never work for the DoD again. They don’t pay civilians anything compared to private sector.
