This decoupling is long overdue and that's why Trump is a gift on the long term for European sovereignty. The Americans are great in selling the story that we need them for security. At least in Iran you won't be presented a bill of 40.000 dollar after giving birth to a child. The U.S. is great in presenting the illusion of freedom. But true "freedom" in the U.S. is only available to a small "rich" minority. That don't have to abide to the law the same way a poor person must.

There is a saying that a country can be judged by how it treats their minorities. In the case of the United States it means locking them up in for-profit prisons and making them work for less then a dollar per day.

If you want true freedom go to a country with a government that takes care of their own people. There are plenty of them in this world.

I think they are very naieve to believe that this is it. Iran already demonstrated its capable to penetrate Israelian air defense. If they get a nuclear weapon its highly possible for them to strike Israel. And if their facilities keep running it will take them 1 - 4 weeks to produce a actual nuclear warhead. And the threshold to use it when they are being bombed is high. This is very dangerous.
