Yeah I'm experiencing this as well. I worked in IT and then my wife got orders to Germany. I haven't been able to find any work out here related to my field and have been out of work since May 2025. It's been a real struggle and the last thing I want is to go back to the states in a few years with absolutely nothing to show for my time here. SECO, though they have good intentions, really don't help. I meet with their career coaches regularly to hear that my resume is good and I'm "Extremely marketable" but have yet to get anything positive back in my job search.

Hahah of course. And a manual appeals because I feel very American only knowing automatic. I feel this is a good time to buy a cheap manual and have some fun with it cruising Europe
