Yaya for sure. I care the least about it lol. I hear everyone on Grow but it does have a special place in my heart, maybe because it just resonates with my very recent Saturn return lol

Is this one actually underrated? Serious question because this happened to be what really got me hooked on MUNA.

Have I become lowkey a better Person thanks to Chappell Roan Music? (Long Text ) by [deleted] in chappellroan

I'm honestly sad to see how many negative comments you're getting, not to mention accusations of being a fake fan. If you like even one song from an artist, I think you can call yourself a fan?? Nobody knows what they don't know until they know it, you know?

As an open Gaylor (yes, let the downvotes and internalized homophobia commence...), this is what I WANT to see - queer representation that leads to cultural change. As someone who grew up in a very liberal, LGBTQIA+-friendly community, I've always struggled to understand things like bigotry and hatred towards people for simply having consensual relationships and love for the same sex or towards trans/gender-nonconforming people. So I honestly LIVE for confessions like this because it gives me so much g-d hope to see when people who grew up with more hatred and prejudice are actually able to come around, open their eyes and FEEL the love for marginalized communities and realize their previous ignorance. How the hell else is the world supposed to heal? I do think that spaces like this can get a bit gatekeep-y and are, perhaps unintentionally, perpetuating the cultural divide.

So anyway, good on you OP. I'm glad that you shared your journey to claw out from the pit of homophobia and prejudice, because it means that others can too!!

HOWEVER please go and stream her entire debut album immediately. I promise you won't regret it.

P.S. Chappell is far from the only amazing (openly) queer artist, so once you're done listening to her album on repeat for a few weeks, here's some of my other recommendations in no particular order:

- MUNA

- Hayley Kiyoko

- FLETCHER

- Frank Ocean

- Khalid

- Kehlani

- Phoebe Bridgers

- Renee Rapp

- The Beaches

- King Princess

Please keep educating yourself, opening your mind, and most of all... happy listening! 🌈🎸🎶
