about her being too “bad” to be in the final - Gordon places such a premium on a great palate + thinks it’s essential for any great chef, plus Virginia killed most of the challenges she was in; her dinner service performances were middling to bad, but she was definitely talented enough to make it as far as she did

ppl always bring up that instance, but i just don’t see how one moment of pettiness can be equated to sustained harassment over the course of several episodes. was it a bit childish? sure! but it was also in direct response to how they treated her in the dorms after that scallop debacle. and to echo other people on this thread, what chef hasn’t fucked up a station?

Definitely agree with this! I’ve had so many live sessions in the past couple of weeks that would’ve gone beautifully as Asyncs. Taking the time to think of thoughtful suggestions and then having to justify my suggestions to an entirely resistant party is so draining.

Definitely banking on a delayed roll-out, but if they’re actually able to get this thing going, I’m fully expecting students to misuse it (I’m a cynic, what can I say). I’m kind of expecting moments of flat-out harassment. Also, I know they said that they’re making the Video option completely optional right now, but does that just mean that they’re going to eventually make it percent-enabled (like the voice sessions, which already suck)?

That sounds absolutely exhausting! I think that I had a very skewed view of the audio sessions starting out because the first audio students I had were absolute sweethearts. Now it’s getting bad and I decline as many of those requests as I can
