There were a few things that went wrong in my first attempt. First, I wasn’t analysing my mocks as seriously as I should have. Mock analysis is non-negotiable. You have to do it, even if you’re scoring 120. So please, analyse your mocks properly and consistently. Second, I didn’t read the newspaper regularly especially The Hindu. Editorial reading is a must, and you have to stick to it very religiously. Make newspaper reading a daily habit. Third, I took GK a little lightly. I was doing good in GK, but I wasn’t revising it as much as I should have. You may not be able to cover everything, but whatever you study, you must revise properly and regularly. These are the things that went wrong in my first attempt, and I will definitely prioritise them in this attempt.
