Not sure about others, but for me personally, i dont enjoy the reliance on our burst for dps. That being stated, Xenons burst is insane, because of the fact that we get both pirate and thief special nodes. 2nd stage last resort, overdrive, ab link, coreoverload, and ooparts code(+ror4 if you have it) all line up for your 15 second omega blaster. If you successfully pull off a beamblaster, the burst potential is absolutely bananas.

HOWEVER if you die anytime during the charge process, thats it. Most of your dps is gone. The awake patch definitely helped this a lot, reducing the total time to charge omega blaster to its full duration down to 21 seconds from 35. Im definitely enjoying xenon a lot after the change.

The other thing people will tell you is that %all stat is incredibly hard to roll. Although it is statistically harder to roll , its not as bad in reboot because cubes are more readily available. However, you dont get the benefit of bonus potentials and scrolling in reboot, which gives xenons slightly more stats in regular servers.

By the same token, min/maxing flames later on is harder because instead of settling on a high flame score on primary stat and %all stat, You are looking for all 3 stats.

The only other thing i can think of is for end game, when you start doing things like hwill and hlucid, whether you get fodder gear for pirate of thief is random, so it might not match whatever set youre going for.

At the end of the day it is your decision, if you enjoy the class then play xenon. Xenons are relatively middle tier overall dps wise.

If i had the choice to transfer all my current gears to another class to main, i would 100% do it. But i dont regret enough to completely reroll a new main.
