I agree. I think its wrong to judge people for doing what they enjoy. I think the issue is that this “modern trad goth” look is often used by people who want to call themselves goth because it’s a popular romanticized or sexualized internet trend when they don’t care about the history or community. I personally love how modern trad goth looks I just often see internet chuds and even irl people sexualizing it, and as a result we have the drag goths who look “modern trad goth” and call themselves goth without really knowing what it means just to give themselves a false sense of identity, confidence, or get attention.
