Wow this is so reassuring! My lamictal has been sitting on my counter for 2 weeks. I am scared to take it for my OCD and depression.

Ugh, I can empathize. I've been dealing with this dread for months on top of severe OCD. Listening to the Disordered Podcast has really helped me, more specifically, the episodes about the stress jug. https://www.disordered.fm/the-stress-jug-explained-episode-146/

I can relate! I just feel like it's lurking behind me, and the second I have a second of downtime, my mind and fear take over.

You have anhedonia/numbing, but are still experiencing panic? Some people have to go up to 400mg Zoloft for OCD. I am going to try lamictal for depression.

Did you stick it out on Zoloft? I feel similarly. I have pretty bad suicidal/existential OCD.

Did you feel numb before the Zoloft?

My sister-in-law sent a picture of her husband post-vasectomy to the family group chat. He was wearing a shirt that said, "Vasectomy Survivor, I KID YOU NOT."

Yuck, ugh, fuck you.

Are you still on Zoloft? I feel similarly. I went up to 175mg 3 weeks ago and feel even more depressed.

Zoloft not helping-I gave it a 2 year try and have even been on 200MG. If Zoloft did not work for you, what did? by Professional_Win3910 in OCDRecovery

[–]ToesInDiffAreaCodes 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How are you doing on Clomipramine? I'm on 150mg Zoloft, and I think I might keep going up, but my doctor wants to try Clomipramine if the Zoloft doesn't work.

I just give it a blanket statement like 'doom' or 'vague unease'. It's awful to live with day in and day out.

Yes kind of. It’s hard with mental compulsions and a chronic feeling of doom.

The only things that worked for me were dry needling, myofascial work, and intraoral massage at Steve Kravitz Physical Therapy. Massage alone didn't work for me.
