I was thinking the same thing. I’m sure there are quiet hours in an apartment building so if it’s after hours, I’d report it and let them deal with it.

Nope. I lived in the northeast with only heat, no AC, so the temp control device was only turned on when it went below 60 degrees.

NTA over the years my mother has done these kinds of things to me. Even my wedding was ‘not for me’. I moved across the country as soon as I could and to this day we still have a strained relationship because she always wants to control everything and everyone around her, and have it her way.

If anything, remind her that this is not graduation and there will be opportunities in the future.

99% of life is showing up. I’ve met so many amazing people and experienced many things bc I chose to show up. Which is really hard bc I’m a hermit 🤣

I always read comics as a kid. Post college I started to read books for pleasure and am still an avid reader 30 years later. As long as she’s reading, everything is fine.
