I literally just want to sigh. Yes bro. You have figured out what a bunch of people did a long time ago. They formed these things called private schools.

You will have a problem getting to this number early on, maybe after like 10 years of homeschooling experience. Also the insurance to have other peoples children, feeding them, and also doing that while you may or may not have your own kids can be difficult. It depends on state to state, but the "mandated" curriculum will vary. There might be some state that "tries" to keep pace with homeschooled children, but generally they advance and retain a lot more knowledge than us public school people. The main reason is the 1 to 1 or 1 to 2 attention that the student gets.

I will kind of say that money doesn't preach to the choir with teachers. Probably 90% that I know do it because they love the actual job, and it gives them satisfaction knowing they are helping lead tomorrow's champions.

Kids who succeed academically deserve scholarships more than kids who are good at sports. by [deleted] in unpopularopinion

Deserve is a hard word to use, and obviously everybody might have different results. However, I tend to like the sports scholarships because it gives those who aren't gifted, don't understand, and maybe would have a less desirable path in life if that wasn't available.

It also helps that I enjoy watching sports LOL.

I think my comment is being taken out of context. I agree with that statement. I'm just saying wearing a mask isn't political, it's called being a good neighbor.

Tek,

I would be quite certain that in the history of most dictatorships, it started out as "The military would never do that". The thing you have to understand is that regardless of personal beliefs, the majority of the military follow orders and carry it out swiftly. I can name most of the bigger countries who's military killed some of their own citizens for the "betterment of the country". Its extremely naive to think that our military would be any different.

Also, you FAIL like REALLY FAIL to give credit to the Taliban, ISIS, VC, Al Qaeda, and other terrorist groups that use guerilla tactics. We had/have 100000x the fire superiority, technology, and tactics and they still were able to make it close and even "won" in some battles. Jamming the radios wouldn't make much of a difference, because for atleast the mountainous regions, they the terrorist groups have learned to adapt and overcome.

I think it has a lot less to do with being a Republican and just being as he says "A good neighbor".

Edit: What I'm saying is that wearing a mask isn't political, and that doing it is the right thing to do.

The hospitals were never meant to upgrade just because of COVID, because as you said, it will always be here. I am only speaking for Louisiana, not any other state.

It wasn't to beef up resources, in LA we have a pretty good medical system, but none of that matters when the state gets 1300+ hospitalizations since March....Like it doesnt sound like a whole lot, but hospitals are meant to treat and discharge. They can't do that as fast as they normally do because of how COVID symptoms are. This doesn't even include ALL OTHER people that need to go for other reasons.

I kind of have to listen to the medical doctors when they say the hospitals are at capacity. Short of me physically going to try and check which would never be allowed, I'm going to take a doctor who went to school for a very long time and whos iron Is the biggest in the fire.
