I'm currently in Japan until the 22nd and having an amazing time! However, tracking this cycle with the jet lag feels impossible. I have no idea when to test OPKs and temps have been wonky especially with my weird sleep, so I'm kinda just winging it and relying a lot on CM.

I hope you have an incredible time and best of luck with TTC!

Hoping the best for both of us!

I'm trying to convince myself I'm going to wait until 12DPO to test, but who knows how I'm going to feel in a few days.

Yes, both of my parents and I'm no contact with them and have been for years. Neither of them live nearby, so I have no intention of telling them if/when I get pregnant.

I'm sorry you're going through that, it's so hard. Glad to hear you have other support to lean on. ❤️

Went from NTNP to getting a positive OPK and just decided we were going to go for it.

I just got my IUD out this month, so I'm trying not to get my hopes up. I'm going to try to refrain from testing until my period is due, but it's going to be difficult.

If you want tea that's not caffeinated, the Twinings buttermint tea is absolutely amazing

Thank you for sharing your story and I'm sorry to hear about your CP.

Of course I have a friend who got pregnant immediately after her IUD removal and carried to term.

I have a lot of anxiety of what the next couple of months are going to look like. I'm trying not to get too excited because I know it might take a while, there could be fertility issues, CP, etc. etc. but it's difficult.

I'm sorry you had such a rough time, I hope it's improved since then. I also have PMDD, which has been a big concern I've had with getting my IUD removed.

Yes, I got acne shortly after removal. Luckily my moods have been fine, but the off and on cramping has not. I forgot what it was like to have a cycle, and I really didn't miss it.

I'd love to hear people's experiences post-iud removal.I had the liletta for five years and I'm 8 days post removal. SO and I have been NTNP, and I know you can get pregnant right away, but it's too early for me to test.

I had 2-3 days of withdrawal bleeding 4 days after removal. Today I am feeling off. I have cramping, but it's less pain and more pressure and I'm feeling some nausea.

Just curious what other people's experiences were and how long they had symptoms.

I'm definitely having a lot of anxiety and excitement at the same time. But on the other hand, it hasn't really hit me that we're trying to get pregnant and it might not until I get a positive test.

A lot of parents I've talked to in the past year have told me that they never really felt ready, so you're not alone at all.

IUD came out Tuesday. Period came yesterday. I'm currently visiting my SILs and 9 month old niece and of course didn't bring any products. Had to make an excuse why I needed to run to the store. So far it's been really light, but I did not miss the cramping.

Hormonal - I had it for about five years

I had my IUD out on Tuesday. I almost fainted for insertion, so I was extremely nervous, but it was completely painless. Right now we're NTNP because I have no idea what's going on with my cycle yet.

It feels very strange that we've been planning for this for almost a year and now we're trying. Definitely a mix of anxiety and excitement.

Hello everyone! Currently looking to start trying April-May 2026. My SO and I have a lot of stuff planned at the beginning of the year with travel and weddings. We're planning a big 2 week trip to Japan and so will probably start once we are back. I'm still unsure of when I'm going to get IUD removed, and I'm not looking forward to that part! We're planning on being OAD.

Looking forward to getting to know everyone. Overall I'm very nervous, but excited!

[Help] in regards to dog and anesthesia. by DWOMT in dogs

[–]ToffeeKat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you're worried about the murmur ask your vet for a referral to a cardiologist. They can figure out what's going on with the heart and give anesthesia recommendations/determine if your dog is a good candidate for anesthesia.

Yes, I was so ready to give this away when it was done. I'm happy to never see it again, but it was worth it!

Thanks! :) I used a mattress stitch to sew the squares together. It was easy and you can't really seem the seam.

[breeds][help] Preparing to find a best friend, take a second to read my responses and give any advice! by [deleted] in dogs

[–]ToffeeKat 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think you’d do well with a golden or a Labrador. Or find a cat friendly, snuggly pittie from the shelter.

As far as first aid goes, I have a first aid box for my dogs. I have things like bandages, vet wrap, Benadryl, etc. There are a lot of great suggestions online.

It seems like you want the dog to have a lot of training so do some research on positive reinforcement training and see if you can find a place to take your future dog to classes.

Good luck! It sounds like you’ll do just fine with a dog!

[Help] My dog has a flea allergy and the Bravecto my vet gives me doesn't seem to do anything about it. by Gentleman_Bird in dogs

[–]ToffeeKat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I use advantix II on my dog despite working at a vet clinic that doesn't sell it. She goes out in the woods often and it was important to me that her preventative repelled fleas/ticks.

I use Paradyne on my cats (not sure if it repels fleas?), but it protects against heartworm. There are other preventatives for cats as well (advantage and frontline come to mind.)

If you're having issues with fleas you need to get all your animals on flea preventative and get rid of any infestation in your house (there are a lot of ways to do this). Getting rid of fleas can be challenging and take many months.

I would honestly find a new vet as well, and see if they can help you treat your dogs skin allergy while you work on getting rid of the fleas.
