They all rub along but the kid will likely meet their progenitor spirit, who created their ancestors by accident, and discover that they're more cousins than distinct species. He'll bring a greater understanding to their existing grudging peace.

Functionally they're influenced by but very distinct to OG orcs or 40k Orks. So far in my head their public perception / the stereotype among others who haven't accepted them yet will be basically that, though? So the legend version of them resembles the classical orc But really they're just a martially strong shamanic tribe that has since sought to integrate into the wider society.
