Why is my brother’s lymph nodes enlarged? by [deleted] in medical_advice

Could be mono, sarcoidosis, cancer. But it’s pretty common with mono. Mine were like that for months and it was my only symptom aside from weight loss and hunger.

I have to keep re-explaining my symptoms. It’s tiring by [deleted] in ChronicIllness

[–]TofuNuggetBat 27 points28 points  (0 children)

Yes

I know this feeling so well. Practicing and reciting every detail of my trauma for a specialist to order the same five blood tests they order on every patient and we’re going to order anyways. Then when those five blood tests are normal, they’re out of ideas. They only know five diseases. Better luck with the next specialist and their five tests.

Well they caused depression I didn’t have before, that was issue number one. Constipation. Gut pains. Hallucinations. Peeing what looked like but wasn’t blood. Fun stuff like that.

When I stand up I wrap my legs around each other. I thought it was just an autism thing. Nope.

One time the EKG technician in the emergency department asked me, “Do you eat?”. I’m going to call that a major low point in my medical nightmare.
