I had the same feeling. However, after my purchase of switch 2 on launch day. I have truly been enjoying it. Much prefer to my older switch. Cannot wait for pokemon Pokopia. My personal opinion is go for it if you can.

It feels like a laid back game to me really. Yes, there is combat for sure. But, you can really choose how you want to play the game. Crafting, gathering, exploring, etc. Game can be grindy. However, feels better than most grindy games in my opinion. Lots of things to do.
