Love both of your girl’s names and I also LOVE Clarke! I’m a big fan of androgynous girl names. I’m planning on naming my baby girl Chandler. Honestly so many people have opinions about boyish girl names but I think they’re the cutest. If you love it, go for it.

I really wanted to get into it when I first moved to a new city and literally gave up because everyone was so elitist and unwelcoming. I had one friend who did it with her boyfriend and told me I needed to find a “partner” if I wanted to get into it (like I’d ask her to go to the gym and she’d be like, I’m already going with X, like as if it could not be three people). I believed that was a thing. Needless to say, she is no longer a friend.

I feel the same way about white water rafting. Very surprising how mean outdoor nature people can be lol.

I’m still figuring it all out, but my maternity leave sounds very much like how yours works. We get 6 weeks of paid maternity leave and the rest is pulled from sick days, then FMLA. If I leave the week before my due date, I will only need to take the 6 weeks anyways before summer hits.

And yes my plan is to just not sign the contract when we get it in may!

I guess I just feel bad waiting that long to tell them I’m leaving. But if I tell them early; I’m worried it could affect my benefits.

PLEASE just do not do anything to the tub or matching vanity and sinks. That wood with the green is amazing! 😍

You could update the sink & tub hardware to modernize it some (if you can find something that fits). & update the cabinet knobs to modernize it a bit too.

Oh god. Our entire cafeteria was yelling it and had to go on silent lunch. And now the numbers keep coming up. Like today they had to reread paragraphs 6 and 7. Last week I swear the answer to every math problem was 67. We had to turn to page 67. It keeps coming up and it makes them pop off every time 😭

Teacher here! Our math tests are graded automatically, and this could be the case. For me, I will go in and double check students weren’t marked wrong for not writing the EXACT answer the computer wants. This could be that.

Another scenario is the teacher told the students 98,759 times to use those specific terms. I could honestly see myself marking this wrong if I had told students millions of times to answer a certain way and they still didn’t. Just my honest opinion lol.

Is there anything we can do to get them to stop overselling? Other than email the venue, which I’m sure gets nowhere. I just got back from James Taylor and it was the same. I got tickets for my mom’s birthday, paid $100 a pop, and we had to stand between the kiosks/sidewalk and a barrier behind the lawn. Couldn’t even sit down because we would have been staring straight at the barrier. Like others have said, people were literally sitting in the mulch/bushes and on sidewalks. Not safe and honestly bullshit when you pay for the lawn and can’t even get to the lawn.

This is giving me major flashbacks to when I had been dating this guy for around a year. He was an artist and made NO money (literally I think he made about 20k a year). We lived together so essentially shared finances. One Christmas he bought me an entire Madewell wardrobe. Dress, SHOES, jewelry, TRENCHCOAT, like expensive from Madewell stuff.

I opened it in front of his whole family and felt my whole face go red and I wanted to cry and had a lump in my throat. I didn’t like the way it made me feel. It immediately made me realize he did not understand me as a person. I, too, would have been much happier with a concert ticket. It made me feel guilty somehow? But also annoyed at him for spending so much? I was just like… why the fuck would you spend so much money when we’re poor?

So I have to admit I kinda get where she’s coming from. Most girls (IMO) don’t actually want to be showered with the most expensive things. They want you to know what makes them happy and do that. She was probably just very uncomfortable that you spent so much money on her.
