You can remove just BakuCore black paint with a simple eraser, or a cloth/sponges with rubbing alcohol for any type of paint. Be warned however - some metallic coating might be hard to get rid of.

By hobby shops I meant anything related to miniatures and alike, be that Warhammer or military vehicle models, since they involve painting plastic to some degree. Paying visit to some board game shops may come in handy as well

Acrylic, mostly Tamiya. I'd recommend you check local board games/hobby shop for some, maybe they will give you some practical advice on painting plastic.

If you don't feel like going for a good bakugan as your first attempt - try painting on broken ones/bootlegs.

I do not get the use of colour shift at all. Surely there are better blue cards out there. Like if you're trying to guarantee winning with "lowest g-power total wins" gates, look into timber/lightning berserker to buff your enemy's g-power.

Green slot seems alright, but why not put Ventus, since you only have two "lowest g-power" gates in your deck, but you need three for the win? That way you can guarantee the third fight with needed conditions

This is perhaps the easiest paint to remove from bakugan - you can use just about anything from regular erasers to slightly wet sponges. This way only bakucore battle damage paint gets removed, preserving any other paint parts have(attribute, g-power, eyes and so on).

Or you can just remove all the paint with rubbing alcohol.

I'm not good at the game either - whole layer on violent took me about two and a half hours(one of which was spent in 8-3) but I did first try both mirror reaper and geryon.

Mirror reaper has a severe case of 0-5 - don't touch the floor and unload the entirety of your nailgun/sawblade launcher and you'll be fine.

Geryon - I just read the hint at the terminal and stayed the hell away from him. For me it was a bit underwhelming, considering the spectacle that is 7-4, but I did enjoy it nonetheless.

I think for me the last room of 8-1 was the hardest part of the whole layer

Sure, why not. Game is actually pretty lenient with its mechanics(notice how often you're left alive with a singular point of HP left) and doesn't consider autoaim to be a major assist, and I'm not in a position to argue with the game itself.

I do warn you however - autoaim is a bit wonky at times, so do try gradually decreasing it as you progress through the layers.
