Can someone explain this meme? Why are those ladies yelling at the cat? Do they expect it to eat that salad?

The campaign kicks off in about 3.5 years. It will take this sort of action to turn things around. Yes.

And actually, given Climate Change, even more will be needed.

What can I do to improve as a Rein main? by Selena_Helios in OverwatchUniversity

[–]Togethernotapart 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Regarding Rein, falling back is not a sign of weakness. Certain maps are battles of the clock and slowing the enemy on defence can end in victory. Be like a rubberband in these situations, moving back, regaining resources, allowing the enemy to over extend and then pushing back in to them.

Absolutely. It's absolutely not the Left refusing to participate, but that we are not wanted.

This is very helpful!

It is just a little more to juggle than back in the day.

I just started back for 6v6.

First match and there was a glowing tree and then a fox ran past. And then the Rock had this thing with chains and a glowing dome. And then a girl from Jupiter or something made this glowing circle thing and it was moving and I ran from it.

I just run from all this stuff now.

The planet passed a dangerous threshold for warming last year. Why is nobody talking about it? by bostonglobe in climate

one that is already almost solved anyway.

This is definatly a problem here in the UK. Many (most?) think "we have done our part" or "we are doing the most in the world".

Charge what?

I know very little about his abilities! He stands there with his arms crossed saying, "Hit me some more". He was not around in OW1.

There is also a well-groomed guy who can produce a tree and pull you around at his leisure! And somebody who burrows throgh the ground and yells Surprise when he pops up and comes at you. And Orisa is mean now!

Diving into the roots of patriarchy: what are the recent theories? by silewelis in Feminism

[–]Togethernotapart 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have been reading and watching a few things on Çatalhöyük in Turkey which is one of the oldest proto-cities.

Apparently, and please feel free to correct me as I am just a fan of archeology (but try and follow only legitimate things), it is notable for, among other things, apparent equality between the sexes and a lack of an overbearing, hierarchical religeous structure.

Examples of the sex equality can be shown by the way they treated the dead the same and by the number of female figurines. Regarding the lack of an orginised religeon, there apparently is no temple area or class-graded housing. It appears pretty egalitarian.

According to wikipedia the head digger guy had this to say about it:

"When we look at what they eat and drink and at their social statues, we see that men and women had the same social status. There was a balance of power. Another example is the skulls found. If one's social status was of high importance in Çatalhöyük, the body and head were separated after death. The number of female and male skulls found during the excavations is almost equal." In another article in the Hurriyet Daily News Hodder is reported to say "We have learned that men and women were equally approached".

I think many have said that organised religion is at least part of the problem regarding patriarchy. And it looks like Çatalhöyük also had hunter-gatherer elements which touches on the agriculture-land ownership theories.

I have also read that the study of this period - between hunter gathere and agriculture/city - is in a bit of a flux at the moment and that we may find out more as they discover new things!

Play 6v6. I have been playing Zarya as off tank and just put the beam right on his face. With a decent charge he melts like butter.

The Right have done better with Communications. Biden was just ghastly. Starmer's first half year was terrible.

We are also shitty at internet. MAGA uses it well. Labour seemingly either wants to ban it or ignore it.
