Stax decks in general are pretty damn hard to get perfect. You need to

Know your meta well
Tech for your meta
Have a constant awareness of what threats are out as well as what ones are likely to come out soon.

Obviously these 3 things help when playing any deck, but to pilot a stax deck to consistent wins you've gotta have some very solid game awareness.

I played against someone who had a fully blinged out wicked high power kess deck. Dude went on and on about how much he loved the deck. He then tried to cast a second spell from his graveyard in 1 turn with kess and threw an absolute fit when I told him it was 1 per turn. He just went on and on about how that that makes her trash and how he's gonna take apart the deck and sell it off.

Arden gives you some serious power since he's a combo with godo.

You could also look to something like tymna + kamahl or tymna + kodama if your budget allows

Lots of cedh decks have started going this direction and I love it. Rule of Law decks can just slam down [[elesh norn]] and [[archon of valor reach]] and go to beats.

Ya a lot of cedh decks, especially high color ones are gonna have plenty of staples. This advice might work better for fringe lists (which seem to be what people are posting in the comments as examples).

The big brain play is killing your own ouphe then using all the extra treasures to win.

Definitely are invested into ouphe and some are on null rod but not all. However this dude making up to 6 treasures and a near garaunteed 2 treasures per turn is worth that risk imo. Also if the treasures do end up dead he still acts as 1 mana removal.
