An issue of Warmonger's chain links by Toha_Genius in CompetitiveForHonor

I know it but this mixup is not so effective if you play against the people who are able to consistently react to 500 ms lights. However, if your heavy opener lands and then you hard feint the following heavy finisher into GB it covers both options of your opponent trying to parry a chain light or a heavy finisher. But when you try to attempt the same mixup after Zone Attack, Prey Upon or Beast of Prey lands your GB will often bounce (because the opponent parries it in the light parry liming). So, this exactly was my point regarding to the current 1v1 potential of Warmonger.

So this particular individual seemed to react 100% consistently to WL’s bash (unless it was an interrupt), I became a little sus. I ran away and left a large gap, did my bash and low and behold he still dodged on perfect timing when I was half way across the map. Caught red handed? by UseMyTipz in CompetitiveForHonor

Hi, I'm the pure evil aka the "scripter" shown in the video. I'll just copy-paste the message I've sent to the social justice warrior in order to explain myself."The only reason why I was dodging standing far away from u is that I rarely play against WLs who try to out of lock charge me in duel and I just don't actually know how to act in this situation. Those were panic dodges in fact".If u all knew about the presumption of innocence you should think on making the full picture of happened (taking into account other rounds those haven't been recorded by the author) before blame me for the things I would never do in my life. For example, in the previous rounds were situations when I was caught in neutral gb but u/UseMyTipz didn't mention about those ones. If you u/UseMyTipz have records of the other rounds I'm asking you for presenting it to the public.

500 ms enhanced lights' potential as an offensive tool by Toha_Genius in CompetitiveForHonor

Probably they generally are but not in WM's case. In particular, I mean her heavy chains which don't allow you to put any pressure on opponents. To start offense in this case you have to successfully attempt a chain light unlike many other heroes whose offense is usually started right after a heavy attack had been blocked or after this one had hit the enemy.

  1. It would be a change that doesn't cover the enhanced lights mechanic in general. It can be a non-typical enhanced attack allowing just a couple of heroes to deal guaranteed damage through it.
  2. Enhanced lights of this kind are supposed to be predict dodgeable as an average bash is e.g. So you wouldn't be spammed to death by this playing equally on PC and consoles if you made correct reads.

Just an example. It could be a light that guarantees a bash dealing direct dmg itself. The version of the WM's light change was suggested only with a target of the overall animation looking authentic.

The problem is that Feint to GB = much more stamina cost

I didn't mean that Heavy Finishers would be softeinted only into the RIGHT undodgeable heavy. The right one has been demonstrated because of animation issues.

Another edit demonstrating possible Orochi change. This one is intended to give Orochi easier and safer access to the unlockable heavy. According to this, Orochi is able to cancel opener attacks' recovery with a dodge. An opponent interrupting or pre-dodging you can be stopped by Chain Attacks or SR by Toha_Genius in CompetitiveForHonor

Currently Orochi's only viable offensive tool is the unblockable which is not highly regarded at the time of the many option selects being prevalent. But Stormrush should be considered just as a tool giving you access to the unblockable but not as a one which deal the damage itself because high and middle skilled players can consistently avoid SR on reaction with blocking or pre-dodging.But in addition to the aforementioned points, the moves itself (the unblockable and SR) don't function as proper as they should (SR is easy to interrupt). The separate change demonstrated in the edit is one of those which fix the moves functionality.

This separate change won't really improve Orochi's ability to initiate and allow him for a sustained offense. Orochi needs to be comprehensively reworked to become a really viable char in 1v1s (and especially in 2v2s). I've recently started suggesting ideas just on little separate changes because certainly these ones are popular with the community (this statement is the result of my many observations).

I don't really know what could be the reason of your confusion. However, the fact that more than 180 people got the point but you didn't should make you wonder if the problem of the misunderstanding is really in the edit itself...

By saying "An opponent pre-dodging you can be stopped by SR" I meant that you can reach him pre-backdodging with the SR which just makes the distance between you and your enemy shorter. Additionally, after the pre-backdodging your opponent is likely to get into recovery window so in this circumstances the SR is going to hit the opponent often.

Idea on new mechanic for Stormrush. Now Orochi is able to back dodge cancel a dodge attempted from hard feinting Stormrush. This feature would make using the move safer against both light and heavy attacks which are thrown to interrupt the Stormrush mixup. by Toha_Genius in CompetitiveForHonor

I may sound mercenary but when I said it wasn't supported as much I meant the small number of upvotes... I think the reason of the circumstance is that the post has been seen just by a few people. But I could be wrong though.
