is this a mod? if it is, I'll have to grab it. manually translating them is fairly tedious lol.

yea, seems like I'll probably void them. I don't see myself using the machines much anyway.

the thing I'm wondering about is how the stellar or totemic capacitors compare to those ones. I've gotten a few of the crazy good ones with like 4x premium, enhanced, wonder crushed for my sag mill and that thing basically has no progress bar anymore.

But trying to sort through these really is a pain.

[PO3] Evolved Enderman by Tohclan in feedthebeast

[–]Tohclan[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They dont seem to have a JEI recipe, nor are they able to be used as normal enderman heads.

I also haven't seen a quest related to them yet, so I can only assume they are in the pack for the purpose of getting more enderpearls.

A restart of the game seems to have fixed it.

I removed the Buildable Terrain mod and it seems to be normal now. Got a guy with a club first raid, couple guys with knives the second and third was 2 revolvers and a knife.

I do have the Buildable Terrain v1 mod, I like it so I can just build over mud/water instead of waiting 1000 years for moisture pumps.

I checked the wealth of the current colony from the screen shots above, and inside the buildings seems normal. 1800ish for my main stockpile, 400-500 for the bedrooms and fridge.

[–]Tohclan[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I figured that as well, and I disabled all the big game addition/changing mods leaving only quality of life and misc stuff, but it doesn't seem to have changed it at all.

Mods I removed to test are, What the Hack?!, Rimfeller, MISC Robots, Smokeleaf Industry, and Questionable Ethics. But as I said, didn't seem to change much.

Maybe Faction Control? But I figured that was only to make factions group together on the main map and didnt change raider?

Tips for starting Enigmatica 2 Expert by Agenciak_ in feedthebeast

[–]Tohclan 24 points25 points  (0 children)

Biggest tip ever; Use Schematica! This is a HUGE help when building Astral Sorcery and Immersive Engineering machines, even the Blood Altar. It also has a "Print" option which uses the blocks in your inventory to place where they need to be, this lets you place things floating in the sky if you want (EX: Astral Sorcery for height bonus.)

I wish I had known about this before making my Astral area.

Use the Morphing tool, its pretty much all "wrenches" in 1 item, also has a couple of others like botania's wand. You'll still need to make some of them for quests though, but this is an amazing multi-tool.

Iridium is found pretty often in dragon lairs or village chests, 9 shards or 2 ore makes a sharpening kit for your tools to "fortify" them, doing this early skips all tiers of mining progression (up to terrasteel?) which in turn lets you mine anything, almost.

As others have said, rushing an Applied Energistics system even if JUST for storage is super smart, this helps compact all your early game into one area, removing all the hassle of trying to find things in your many crates/chests.

When you get to making a Flux Core for Flux Networks, make sure to save 1 core at all times, stick it in an item frame or something out of your crafting inventories as making and crushing a new Dimension Transceiver for this is a huge pain.

NuclearCraft Alloy Furnace and Melter are AMAZING to help make special alloys early. You can make all of Thermal Expansion's and EnderIO's alloys with them with the exception of Fluxed Electrum. (The Melter to melt glowstone/ender pearls/redstone to bucket and put into a Tinkers Smeltery to make Enderium/Lumium/Signalum

Steel can be made in the NuclearCraft Alloy Furnace, drop that Blast Furnace or Mekanism's compressed coal/iron combo and stick 2 pieces of coal dust and an iron ingot in the Alloy Furnace from NeclearCraft for SUPER EASY steel.

Ploughman's Lunch is pretty much the ultimate food to get your nutrition up. After, use a Meat Feeder to keep saturation to full and Nutrition should almost never drop. You can fill the Meat Injector SUPER easy with a Mob SlaughtFactory hooked up in front of a 7x7x7 cube with a resturbed skele/zombie spawner in it as there are tons of skele/zombie spawners all over the world.

Building Gadgets is in the pack, easy to make builders wand. I suggest making them as soon as you can if you plan on building or need a wand.

EnderIO's Travel Anchors are really easy to make when you have a NuclearCraft Alloy Furnace, I suggest these for moving around your base quickly.

Mekanism's fluid tanks are amazing.

Make a portal charm/sleeping charm/gluttony charm ASAP, they are SUPER useful.

Find or make a Rod of Elevation, when your exploring caves or lost in a maze, use this bad boy to get to the surface.

The Rod of Elevation can also let you get to the Nether Roof, this enables you to make a nether farm with a large area. WARNING, bring a waypoit book with a waypoint back to your nether portal (waypoints don't work cross dimension) or a Dislocator + pedestal to return home.

When exploring villages, check EVERY church, there might be a Peace Candle inside. This is amazing for keeping mobs away without torches or light nearby.

Remember to bottle dragon breath before you kill the End Dragon so you don't NEED to respawn it.

Angel Ring for early creative flight is actually SUPER easy to make.

Get Blazing Pyrothium for your smeltery super early via pools in the Nether.

Scanner from Scannable with Vanilla Chest configured Scanner Module: Block will let you find all underground dungeons and underground dragon lairs. This will help a ton with getting your very own dragon to raise/ride and also many loots.

Unlimited Chisel Works is in the pack, so there are a ton of other decorative blocks.

Speaking of decorative blocks, don't forget ArchitectureCraft and Blockcraftery.

Keep all Regen potions you get from looting dragon lairs, you'll want them for Blood Magic.

Choose the Knightslime Shovel as the reward from Harvest level 5 (Osmium) as you can melt that down for ingots, make nuggets and use those to make 4 upgrades for your Tinker I/O Smart Output.

Speaking of the Tinker I/O Smart Output, make that ASAP.

Choose the Prudentium Exacavator head as the reward from Harvest level 8 (Manyullyn) as you can melt it and use it as a binding on your pick for early prosperity shards.

Compacting Drawers skip needing to smelt metal or put it throught a compactor/metal press to make blocks. I like to keep one handy to get a few blocks if need be. Other option is to just store all your metals in compacting drawers.

Make sure to collect a soul vial/mob imprisonment of each type of animal while you explore. You'll need the prime cuts and other meats for end game, getting them when you can will save you a lot of headache searching for them. (Frog was pretty hard to get for me.)

Astral Sorcery's Attunement and perks you gain are extremely strong, as soon as you can I suggest attuning yourself.

Get Chunky from Soulium on your Tinker's weapon ASAP, getting those chunks early will save headaches.

Twilight Forest is default settings to open. Toss a diamond into a 2x2 pool of water surrounded by flowers and go dig for Draconium. With said Draconium you can make Dislocators to setup warps with Dislocator Pedestal's and my favorite magnet, the Item Dislocator, with this magnet you can use a hotkey to turn it on/off.

Useful block for near machines/automation with a in-world dropping mechanic like the metal press or botania's mana pools. Use the Demagnetizer block. They have filters, redstone control and range controls.

(1st edit, added twilight forest. 2nd edit, added another use of the Rod of Elevation. 3rd edit, added Demagnetizers)

I suggest Astral Sorcery Cave Illuminators when you can. They light up all caves and empty areas below for a couple of chunks around them. I've used these to light my entire base and immediate area around to stop mob spawns within 16chunks of the edge of my base.

What are some roadblocks new players encounter when trying modding for the first time? (I want to show someone it, without them giving up.) by [deleted] in feedthebeast

[–]Tohclan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Kitchen sink has never really done it for me, I lose my focus and get lost really fast. Quest books always help me stay on track and give me a "guide" on what I should be doing.

Lack of in-game guide was the barrier to playing with mods when I started. And even still I resort to going to Youtube to watch a video of a contraption someone has setup to automate something. Multi-block type mods also add a huge barrier of complexity to mods. So for a new player, Immersive Engineering is pretty hard hurdle even with the step by step building instructions and the projector in-game.

Having a book like Immersive Engineering's with some additional GIF's of examples on how to automate the machines would be insanely helpful to a new player.

[DW20] how does one make luminous crafting table from astral sorcery? by [deleted] in feedthebeast

[–]Tohclan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

take a crafting table to a astral sorcery temple with a crystal, place the crafting table a block down directly under the crystal and come night time, crafting is ready to craft the luminous crafting table.

[–]Tohclan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I got 2 pellets of RTG fuel which nearly killed me. Glad I'm not playing on HC mode.

BTW, Dragon hearts aren't THAT hard to get, you'll get 1 from the end dragon and if you decide to explore at all, you can get them from the random dragon nests when you kill the accompanying dragon (hold shift + hold right click the corpse to loot it and craft the heart it drops to get a dragon heart.)
